Not just Ipswich I would say, the sport is in a mess and the loss of any one team would have a serious effect on the others being able to run a proper model. Your promoter talks a lot of sense, but so did Stuart Douglas when he brought Arena Essex and none of the other promoters would listen to him either because he was new and they don't the idea of change, even when things are in the gutter.4 points

I’m quite sure that if I’d been sacked I’d be trying to spin it in my favour also. I’m not really having a go at Poole or Bowes. It’s the grey or completely missing areas in the rules. It’s crackers that any team can just boot a rider, legitimately or not and rely on much better guests. Two weeks of R/R then employ someone regardless. There’s loads of riders who would jump at an opportunity like that.3 points

Yes there is a plan for new stadium should Wimborne Road ever be redeveloped. So nothing to worry about.3 points

He would be assessed as a GP rider now wouldn't he?.. Be great to watch around Ipswich... Stand well back though...3 points

I will try again. This has always been the league fixture between Poole and Berwick. Nobody at Poole has changed this fixture (it was the meeting at Berwick that was changed). This has been one of the 4 Berwick BSN matches from the start of the season. I have just checked my Berwick program from the first meeting of the season and this meeting is shown in the program so how can it be rearranged?3 points

Haven't seen a graveyard gate 4 like that for a long time - a bit bizarre really A freakish Drew Kemp performance was the difference between the draw we got and the Witches picking up the 10+ win to make it interesting - as simple as that3 points

Blimey... One average season in the last what? Five?... An "average season" where they will still make the play offs, and can still win the KO Cup...3 points

Well of course a few Poole supporters would reply, its a Poole thread about a Poole rider!2 points

Ok, we will have to go along with that. I feel like it may have been on FB (will take 10 years to trawl back over Poole fans group on there to check!) or possibly in Bournemouth Echo but wont let me go back that far in articles to the winter. I definitely read it somewhere but not sure i would put that much stock into what Clive says unless it was the answer i wanted i guess 😂2 points

Zach wasnt intending riding in the championship so he would of arranged his meetings without considering Poole fixtures. No need for nastiness on this forum.2 points

Lawson is just taking the piss and he couldnt care less,a 28 day ban should be brought in for him2 points

Having watched him for many years I don't think he ever gives less than 100%... Proper Box Office....2 points

Kelv’s new favourite rider 😁 We’d all look forward to watching him though wouldn’t we? Mad as a box of frogs in the nicest possible way. With the caveat of attitude and effort etc, the usual question marks when these kind of riders rock up over here.2 points

To everyone else it just looks like an underperforming rider has been given the boot so guests who will preform better can be used. Poole could bring in a ndl rider and guide and develop them. But that’s not there way.2 points

He was certainly pleased with it, especially as it was on an off race night. He came up to the sponsors lounge after the meeting for a chat and a few beers. Had the perfect opportunity to have a good chat about various things and he was happy to answer all my questions. Wont go in to what was said on here because that would be unfair, but he’s a really nice fella! Genuinely hope it works out well for him here he seems to have taken to the place already and is enjoying himself.2 points

Makes a big difference to any meeting when a decent amount of away fans turn up.. In Football the Premier League cap away fans at £30.. Speedway should do some similar reduced cost prices for away fans...2 points

King's Lynn aren't going to achieve anything until drastic changes occur. Jan Kvech hasn't improved at all since stepping foot on British soil. Ben Cook is the biggest throttle jockey the Sport has seen in recent years to a point where he's only consistent around tracks that don't require much skill (NSS and Polish tracks)2 points

With 25 points in two meetings at Foxhall this season, surely a place for Kemp next season should be a no brainier2 points

As a Poole fan hugely disappointed a british rider has to miss a British meeting to ride in a bloody Danish one! So fed up with everyone taking the piss out of british speedway, if you can't fully commit then f off!! Would rather watch national league racing knowing 7 fully committed riders barring illness/injury.2 points

There's a very good bus/tram service. Tickets can be purchased from many convenience stores. There were still trams running after last year's GP and that was after an hour's rain delay.1 point

Having slagged him off, I have to give credit where due. The last few meetings, he has done the business. Let’s hope that continues1 point

Strange Musielak was not in heat 15 again, I know he was last in heat 13 but surely he can be forgiven one bad race.1 point

Is it just for Ipswich that Lawson doesn't do the "victory" parade? Does He it do it for Poole?1 point

Jonathan Swales ( brother of the promoter ) , fell out with the owners ( the brothers ) , like a lot of people have. Current ‘track man’ is an inexperienced volunteer, who only falls outwith them occasionally. He has 2 ‘assistants’ and a ‘mentor’ , but he’s better than nothing!1 point

And sadly that shows the quality of the product compared to years gone by, Leicester have a solid side but not one rider in it who's in the top 20-30 riders in the world. This is another one of the sports huge problems chipping away at the quality of the product year on year but also upping the cost every season. It certainly hasn't helped Sheffields cause having no Tai and losing Jack Holder this year. Same with Ippo no Doyle and Emil, the flip side though is even if you bring in a big hitter crowds might go up for 3-4 meetings then level off again, then you have Belle Vue two awesome riders on show most weeks but crowds down also lord knows how it can be turned around if it even can.1 point

No, i meant no one forced him to sign for a Danish club. Also Lawson has another job outside speedway as well. I doubt he is hard up for cash but that is just my opinion on past interviews. End of the day he should be banned as he is 'withholding his services.'1 point

Depending on what Poland decide... For the Championship, it could be next season... You would think the top tier are pushing for eight teams, to sell to TV, and also ensuring a fair shareout of any top talent that decide to ride over here to encourage two teams to move up.. With fixed race nights not being needed anymore to accommodate the DUers, meaning the likes of Poole and Glasgow for example, could keep their key race nights and move up... Maybe adhoc Friday or Saturdays as required for Glasgow depending on Polish commitments of any of the 14 riders?.. The Championship without the many HL's who ride in Poland could be a very different landscape... And, if the top tier get a TV deal, they can offer the current shared riders more of a guarantee...1 point

As I remember it the KO home meeting was swapped round with the league fixture, making both rearranged matches, that I'm thinking gives Lawson's danish side priority for their pre-scheduled matches.1 point

The council are not entitled to say "on your bike" because of things supposedly said to the owner on social media, The council are there to sit and judge a company that ignored planning laws and went ahead and ripped out, demolished and built on the the track and stadium grounds that they had no permission to do. The council have to decide if the company is required to re-instate the stadium to the way it was when they got the lease no matter if they have an intention to run speedway or not. If this has to be done (which we all hope it will be on a matter of principle) then the next thing the council should look at is to see if they have broken the terms of the lease and if so could they legally invoke a clause in the lease and make it null and void and take the lease back and issue a order for the tender for the stadium lease on the open market once again?1 point

Which begs the question did either of them at least try.1 point
