Totally agree Gavan. Nothing yet from Shovvy he may be asking his mate SCB for advice regarding photographs!4 points

The death of British speedway? You're talking about a track that has the biggest attendances in the country and do more to promote the sport in the local area than any other! You and I might not like the racing, but the Poole fans clearly do. Why would Poole change that to appease a Glasgow fan?4 points

Yeah, but they say that includes being on the white line, which no one disputed. Just that some of us thought you could have rear wheel on the white line and not be excluded. Only both fully over. Now the rule has been cleared up, that's fair enough. No argument from me. Definitely got away with two decisions!3 points

Nice touch by the Comets management with a message on the electronic sign at the Ramsey brow junction at the end of the A66. Saying thank you to the fans and sponsors supporting the comets in 2026 đđđ”âȘ3 points

I suspect the number one could end up as Lambert or Zmarzlik with Woryna as second heater leading depending on point limit2 points

Kurtz and Doyle, a different level.. A shame to be honest as the second leg is probably a shoe in... Great to watch top class riders do what only they can do...2 points

This aged well đ Sheffield couldnât even ride their own track tonight. This is game over, watching that seemed a mismatch. Belle Vue by far the strongest team in the league and by some way.2 points

Over the last few meetings Jason Doyle has rolled an extra lap đ2 points

Nice to hear you say that. Still so many Pirates on here and on social media either burying their heads in the sand or going on the offensive and either disagreeing with the SCB decision (!) or rubbing it in that Scunthorpe wonât get the trophy.2 points

I'll pay the extra rent if I can keep the admission money off 2-3000 pilot fans2 points

The SCB deemed that his wheels âbreached the inner edgeâ meaning he should have been excluded. Bang to rights.2 points

I would say the most important thing is to gain teams, so if that means a weaker league, so be it. Ideally equal strength teams, the more times newcomers end up bottom, the less likely someone will step up.2 points

To all the Poole fans who said he didnât cross the lineâŠđ€« Scunthorpe are the real 2026 champions. đŠ2 points

Can't say I really care either way which team wins, and from the footage there was, I was unconvinced anyone had shown beyond any reasonable doubt Zach had fully crossed the line, but to accept he had and then say "never mind, the result's wrong but we won't change it", especially when it's the final, is abysmal. British speedway is such an embarrassingly amateur sport.2 points

I think that is a reasonable demand that should be mandatory for his first season ( should he return to the sport ) I make no excuses for his crime but repeat if he can be gainfully employed he is not a burden on the state .2 points

The 1st Division teams appear to by invitation. The 2nd Division teams qualified based on their league position the previous year. The top 8 2nd Division teams qualified except in these years: 1976 when league winners Birmingham moved up to the 1st Division so teams finishing 2nd to 9th in 1975 were included. 1977 when the competition was extended and the top 10 2nd Division sides from 1976 were included. 1979 when Eastbourne, who had finished 4th in the 2nd Division, moved up to the 1st Division and the 1978 9th team was included (Glasgow). I don't know if 'prestigious' is the right word but it did give 2nd Division tracks the opportunity to race against 1st Division sides in a competitive environment. Unfortunately very few made it past the first round - Boston defeated Hackney in 1975 before losing at Belle Vue in the nezt round. The only other 2nd Division side to win a match were Workington who defeated Ipswich and King's Lynn before losing at Hull in the semi-final in 1976.2 points

The Ekstraliga have announced details of a 3 year agreement between Poland, Sweden, Denmark and Great Britain. Highlights are: A rider with a contract in Poland will be able to participate simultaneously in a maximum of two of the other three national leagues covered by the agreement. Great Britain â league matches are scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays, Sweden â on Tuesdays, Denmark â on Wednesdays, and Poland (PGEE / M2E) â on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The rules regarding youth riders will also change in the top leagues in Sweden, Denmark, and Great Britain. The team must include at least one domestic U21 rider, and the second can be a domestic or foreign rider. Additionally, the British federation ACU will give its riders permission to compete abroad only if they are also competing in the British league. This means that, e.g., Robert Lambert or Daniel Bewley, competing under a British license, will need to have a contract in Great Britain to compete in Poland and other foreign leagues.2 points

Alternatively if you wanted a strong reserve all season you could tempt both Thompson twins in and go for: 1 Chris Harris © 7.93 2 Victor Palovaara 5.64 3 Joe Thompson 5.92 4 Mitchell McDiarmid 5.53 5 Dan Thompson 7.55 6 Jordan Jenkins 5.05 7 2.38 Would mean having an unproven 2.00er at reserve, but you'd have Jordan Jenkins or Joe Thompson at reserve all year too, you saw how successful Berwick were at times this year with a powerful reserve. I'm sure someone like Charlie Southwick or Ollie Binns or Harry Fletcher would pick up the odd point here or there. Just an alternative, and I do like teams with a strong reserve.2 points

Yes there regular drug tests and now at grasstrack but not so much fuel testing, it does still go on but you tend to find if suspicions are raised like fuel or filters or whatever then testing seems to ramp up for the month after, they could sort the fuel problem by using the polish system where the bikes are filled just before the race from the same drum, on the subject of cheating I purchased a famous silencer a couple of weeks back, it was Eddie Kennettâs famous drilled one from about 15 years ago, have to say not the best âmodificationâ Iâve ever seen1 point

Id say if bellie Vue keep the score below 10 they will be reasonably happy. They're doing well considering the guests they've got.1 point

Well its confirmed by the SCB that pilots are cheats đ€Ł how about Poole voluntarily re running the 2nd leg, bet they would get a good crowd, and probably get the same result1 point

Does anything surprise you about the Poole 'Piss take' Pirates and the sham the way Speedway is run over here1 point

So itâs now fact that he crossed the line so the Poole clowns who said he didnât can shut the hell up Disastrous for British speedway total incompetence in both legs This league title will have an asterisk next to it1 point

IF they are successful with this then itâs not a shoestring budget and cheap team, plan is to be there for the long term1 point

Manufacture, most of those fences are out of date, I think Lakeside's went to Iwade where of course it doesn't need to be tested as there are non league1 point

Yes I get that and you are entitled to your opinion, I thought the final was very entertaining as was the BSN final at Poole.1 point

I hear Jody Scott is trying to win a spot in Poland & has gone over to do some practice. I think he is time served in NDL but will need to carry on in the Championship for now but weather Oxford can get him away from Redcar is another issue. Of the riders that were at Cowley in 2026 I think Sam Masters & Luke Killeen will return. Mitch McDiramid I believe will drop the Championship for the Premiership & Poland Erik Riss is to much of a risk for any BL club Anders Rowe will move on Dale Wood & Daryl Ritchings will not feature in the team either. But I could be completly wrong1 point

It's called home advantage. Every promotion should be setting up their track to best suit their riders - if they want to win things. The Poole promotion want to give their riders the best possible chance of winning, that's what they care about. It's also what Poole fans care about and what keeps them coming through the turnstiles - and who can blame them? Whether you like it or not, Poole don't care about a Glasgow fan watching on a screen.1 point

I'm not a huge Anders Rowe fan, but I think at number 3 with a solid 1 and 5 and a solid partner, he would be fine. If the points limit is 40, then the below team would do well. I was very surprised at how low Palovaara's average was, so I would say he was a bit of a steal. Could also go with Jake Allen or Jody Scott at number 3 instead, but I just don't see Jody at Glasgow next season and I'm not sure how well Jake Allen goes around Ashfield? 1 Chris Harris © 7.93 2 Victor Palovaara 5.64 3 Anders Rowe 6.39 4 Mitchell McDiarmid 5.53 5 Dan Thompson 7.55 6 Anze Grmek 3.56 7 Freddy Hodder 3.31 39.911 point

Gillman does not have much comfort to offer. This does not get me excited at all. Why didn't they go for the grand ole Wayville Showground Speedway right in the center of Adelaide? That would have been a truely awesome venue for a SGP there! Wayville has since been re-named as the Adelaide Showground. The main arena at the Adelaide Showground opened in 1925 and once had a capacity of 35,000, but can now cater for around 14,000 spectators. It features a main grandstand, smaller undercover and open grandstands, terracing and grass hill, while lighting allows for night events. The Adelaide Showground continues to host the annual Royal Adelaide Show. Often referred to as the birthplace of Australian speedway, the venue originally known as the Wayville Showground hosted regular meetings until 1934, attracting large crowds. It again various speedway meetings between 1986 and 2002. It was the home of harness racing in Adelaide from 1934 until 1973, when all meetings moved to the purpose-built Globe Derby Park which had opened in 1969. Crowds in excess of 20,000 were common, with the record attendance of 47,000 achieved for the 1963 Inter Dominion. In 2017, a one-off Friday night harness racing meet was held at Wayville, with around 8,000 fans attending. The venue was also the home of the West Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL from 1927 until 1939, before the club merged with Glenelg during the war years and eventually moved to their current home Richmond Oval when it opened in 1958. And maybe the fact a lot of the keyboard warriors on here wouldn't say most of the nasty stuff to his face gives a true indication to their characters? I am in no way defending the actions and crimes of Mr Garrity. They were truly deplorable and he deserved what he got. He does deserve another go though if he has finally grown up and got his sh*t together. I can only go by the young Jason I knew when I was involved at Coventry. He could be a very naughty boy when it suited him but he was also a really nice kid as well with a cracking sense of humour and was brilliant with the fans especially pre meeting in the pits. Unfortunately as usually happens in Speedway he was quickly hyped up and became surrounded with yes men and hangers on and that did go to his head. Inside Jason there is that nice kid. Hopefully as he matures he will atone his sins, give back to society and surround himself with the right people.1 point

I think he was and he's been doing regular laps around Lynn for several years, and has talked about his good relationship with the promotion and his love of the track. All that said he's a free agent on October 31st like everyone else and could sign for whoever he wants for 2027. You would like to think Buster would move heaven and earth to keep him though.1 point

For what itâs worth, my take is this. He did a âMorallyâ and an âActualâ bad crime. Went to Prison & served some time. Our stupid system lets people out early etc. Said person is now able to earn a living. Let him earn a living. If heâs coming to your track, donât pay to go-simple. Tell your promotion why you havenât attended. If there is a massive crowd drop off when said rider is in town, leave it to the promoters to sort out. If itâs bad for business it wonât last long.1 point
