What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Bagpuss replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If it ends up being one league then some of those signings will mean very little as the points limit will probably change and some riders will want to stay with their former Prem club or go elsewhere for a better deal. -

It's all very tongue in cheek 😉 Mr Bunting is also responsible for the excellent Round the Boards pod too: https://open.spotify.com/show/4DuoFwGF6DrgcWWGbgrGzg?si=gDO8dQyDTqa3C7r5LFdiYg

Completely different scenario in an extremely densely populated conurbation like London. A speedway team in Swaffham would be tapping into the very same customer base that go to Lynn in a part of the world which is relatively sparsely populated. Just dont think it would work for either venue. -
It would be more to do with the relationship he's had with Lynn over a period of time.

Or he could simply be a squad member in Poland and ride occasionally when Glasgow have no fixture which I suspect is most likely. -

I can't imagine anyone being happy with a five team league. -

Is it still possible to buy Sky Sports on a day to day basis through Now TV? -

Stop rabbiting on 🐇 -
You clearly know nothing about Luke Harrsion. Your initial point was that Glasgow wouldn't take the risk on him because he is a similar age to Boughen but that's a daft reason to not sign him. Sounds like Glasgow have anyway and I think he'll do really well, he's an extremely talented young rider and most importantly a racer so Ashfleid will suit him perfectly.

18 and a completely different type of rider & character.
-
You could well be right. Has he packed in?
-
If I've calculated correctly SW would be on 6.64 next season, if he's fully committed I'd say thats a pretty attractive figure for somebody as a third heatleader or second string.
-
If its true that Fricke is going elsewhere then you'd imagine there is more in the kitty to offer Thompson than there would have been otherwise.
-
I suspect Lawson, Kerr, Rowe, Cairns & Rushen are locked in and they wanted Bowes & Bailey to join them but one of them have foreign commitments which means it cant happen. Not sure which, probably Bailey with his Wednesday stuff in Denmark.

Pollestad - top talent.

Where has this been reported please Iain? -
Speedway Updates is dying a slow death unfortunately and for the first time that I can remember they weren't able to cover every meeting last year due to a lack of volunteers. I feel something more modern is needed for speedway fans, an app along similar lines to the Polish one would be ideal.

Like that team a lot. Really needs Edwards or Jenkins to break through though and take their careers to the next level with no King.
-
I'll be absolutely gobsmacked if its not 36 for the top five. We shall see.
-
And of course Mulford, apologies to him for my forgetfulness.

A few weeks ago he posted on his Facebook page that he was looking for a Premiership team spot for 2026. Assuming that means that Lynn have told him that he isn't part of their plans then I think that must mean they are targeting a genuine number one as I can't think of any other reason why he wouldn't be coming back as he was excellent last season. I suspect he is a victim of the numbers game.

Main U24s would presumably be Flint, Rowe, Thompson, Edwards, Kemp and Gilkes.
