  1. I'm all for enthusiasm and generally don't mind Pearson myself but I understand why people don't like him, he is at times too shouty and loud. There are others out there I prefer to listen to and would be quite happy to see replace NP if the need ever arose. There was a guy in the 90s and 00s who did the videos from Coventry and Peterborough, he was a very fast commentator, almost horse racing style, I really liked him. Always made races sound exciting even if they weren't As for Tatum though, I would never get rid of him. His knowledge and experience as a former rider makes him very good at what he does IMO.
  2. You think Palin is weaker than Thomas? As a general point IF Belle Vue finish with Bewley & Thompson then they are the main challengers to Sheffield.
  3. Poor VFM for me. Also its a massive rush around to get to Lynn for me after work in the summer months. I used to be a week in week out fan but only go very occasionally now and enjoy it far more. And I never, ever take the risk now if the weather forecast is dodgy as riders are very rarely interested once there's a spot of rain.
  4. I'm sure Fanseat is excellent value for those who want to watch Swedish, Danish and French speedway. Not for me Jeff.
  5. Ten seems a familiar number to me for U21 seeds without looking back at updates. Personally I would always prefer seeds to ensure the quality of the final is better, having the bigger names missing out isn't good IMO.
  6. My guess would be that they are waiting for a particular rider who is signed up in Poland and Sweden to come available.
  7. Rather underwhelming on the face of it but this could be the move he needs to get back to something like the form he showed pre pandemic. If it's the Lynn/Leicester form of last year he won't be there long though. Hopefully for him and Berwick it works out.
  8. Tell us all about these rules that are being changed.
  9. I definitely can't remember that one! Lynn's first season in Division 2 which probably explains it.
  10. I'd have thought the most relevant barometer might be how many people clicked the link and read the story on the website.
  11. Nobody remembers that but EVERYBODY remembers 2010
  12. Not really pleased but neither are my knickers twisted.
  13. There seems to be a conscious effort to engage with supporters through social media much more this year, can't be a bad thing. I've read the story and I can't say I found it particularly offensive or desperate, perhaps it could have had a better title but its a few words from a new signing in February, not the worst idea anyone has had.
  14. Once Fricke is dialled back in I don't think there would be much between them at BV or elsewhere for that matter. Losing Bewley hasn't weakened them in those terms although I'm sure they'd have loved to have both!
  15. And 36 next month, you wonder how many seasons Poole might get for their money.
  16. I seem to remember that it covered nutrition, fitness and mechanical knowledge too. James Shanes was definitely one of them, there were a (the?) group of lads who were on the course at Lynn every Wednesday evening but this was a few seasons ago and I can't recall any of the others.
  17. Perhaps not pointless for those older supporters who spend their silver pound at Wimborne Road and don't use the forum or social media?
  18. Took far too long to sort out in the first place, no doubt provided some home advantage which meant the holes and bumps stayed. I can remember the track being a mess in one of Lynn's first seasons back in the top flight (2011 or 12?) when we rode there on telly.
  19. It's an odd one, you'd think he is exactly the type of rider that the NL is for. I don't follow that league too closely bit did t he ride for Kent last year? Why is he not back there, did he end up with an awkward average?
  20. Huckenbeck would be a very good signing on his average if he can be persuaded.
