It appears some comets " fans " want a superstar signing when none are available and on what could be a limited budget 🤔  imo kemp is a good signing,  could be a bit like batch at times, but this year batch has done well for the Comets

Cook wouldn't have won them the league either. Good signing who won't let the team down unlike his predecessor.

Kemp is a really good signing, suits our track for sure. He can be very fast on his day.

Scored 12 points last season at Northside from the No.1 position.

Glad he's been snapped up and in the side for this weekend.

Averaged 8.57 when riding in the No.1 position last season, so obviously has the ability, he kicked on massively over the last 2 seasons.

I would move Kemp to No.5 and have Batchelor ride at No.3 with Tate, but that's just my opinion.

Pleased we have managed to secure a really solid rider at championship level to replace Craig.  Can have mechanical issues at times and be a little guilty on occasions of retiring prematurely but he has a bit of class when he is in the mood. Looking forward to seeing him round Northside a track he goes well at.

Ive said time and time again about how much of a serious problem the country has with mental health illnesses. Yes he’s let the team down, but bagging people and Craig because of his mental health is just wrong. Do better.

I don't think Workington could have signed anyone who could win them the league. Who's gonna beat Poole over 2 legs?

While I think Kemp is a good signing, not sure I see Workington picking up a couple of away wins to make the play-offs. But hopefully for them, will win enough at home to avoid the wooden spoon.

As a neutral - Kemp is a pretty decent signing all things considered.  Cook was always going to be a high risk signing and unfortunately for the Comets it has not worked out. Considering their options think Kemp is a decent shout. He isn't likely to scorte 10-15 pts every meeting but is a solid option.

I think the problem could lay with the countless others that suffer mental illnesses still have to get up every day to go to work. They struggle to accept the fact that in this case, the amount of no shows by this person is always announced alongside his mental illness status and used as the reason why. It’s a tricky subject.

I agree totally, Cook is very good but just unreliable, we all want the comets to succeed and to do that we need a regular team that puts in 110%
