100%...

The Aces are a perfect example where money could be saved and reinvested in price...

My old company had a name for it...

"Save to Invest"...

Basically remove all non profit making sections of the business, and then use that money to lower the price points of products.....

The Aces have two genuine world class riders, if neither were there, crowds "may" dip, but certainly not by much, if the standard was around tier two level...

If one of the world class riders was there, crowds, would, I suggest, be the same as if both were...

No rider has an "aura" like yesteryear where world class talent turning up was an "event", hence several hundred extra would rock up to watch...

Therefore, one world class rider per team should be the target, (if they want to maintain the current level)

(Which clearly isn't working, but I digress)...

Two HL's, two SS"s, and two reserves being the set up of each team...

That would free up several hundred thousand across the top league to invest in promoting the clubs and sport...

This is the thing none of the promoters come together on and so it doesn't happen. A lower entry price will not bring large crowds back, an enjoyable experience at the meeting and aligned marketing could.

Are any clubs offering a "young adult" ticket? I heard on the radio the other night that Nottingham Forest FC are reintroducing their young adult ticket,  other football clubs seem to do similar scheme offering 25% discount for 18-24 year olds 🤔

It's a start isn't it (a good start)... It's effectively a student ticket, but there's still a 64% increase on your 19th birthday... happy birthday!

I'd still like to see a reduced price ticket for up to 24/25 year olds, that is the average age of people flying their parents nest in the UK and suggests they're not on a sound enough financial footing until that age.

Like you say a good start, maybe next year bridge that gap for the next group of people 19-24?

One thing I like that KL have done is a free programme to every match with a season ticket. Not much but you add up the matches £3.50 x 12 matches that's another £42 the season ticket holder would save(I know not everyone fills one out)

A positive move

Whether it was part of their initial plan or if it shows quick and decisive action after taking on feedback either is welcome

No scheme will be 100% to everyone's liking but it is a significant improvement on the initial offering

I can see Blu's point re transport but I don't see a solution to that within speedways remit

The problem many youngsters have, if they don't have a vehicle or attend with a parent, is getting to and from the stadium...

It’s a shame there’s no longer a shuttle bus operating. Used to get on at the old cattle market in town centre, take you straight to Foxhall, then come and pick you up after the meeting and take you back to town.

Pretty cheap return tickets too if I remember rightly.

Press & practice day on Thursday for the new look or old look witches depending on your view point. Any way the new era starts.

Thoughts on the season ahead? While I can’t see us defending the title I don’t think we will be a poor as some think.

Wr are going to struggle at Belle Vue & Sheffield for sure.

I actually think it's quite a solid if not spectacular line up. Yes I know some will complain that there's no cream on top in terms of top riders but let's be honest the whole league is crap. And with the whole league being poorer we may have closer meetings overall.

Well if Tom has ambitions to reach the top then he needs to keep progressing as he has done to date

A great opportunity to push on to that 'real No1' status

Agree. He definitely has the ambition to be mixing it with the worlds best in the GP’S and I know from talking to Ritchie last year that he feels he’ll make it.

Having the extra pressure and responsibility of being THE main man at the top of the team instead of having the comfort blanket of Emil and Doyle doing the heavy lifting, may well help pull him along even quicker. Hopefully he thrives on the extra responsibility.

He certainly thrived with the extra responsibility of being a number 2 at Birmingham and last year improved again.  He looked very impressive at Lynn last week especially coming back from a broken leg.
