Odds On
decent meeting...how on earth did Klindt get away with those rollers on heats 13 and 15?
torpointfanatic22
I'm curious, do start marshalls not get riders up to tapes anymore? Klindt and Lambert especially sat miles back in most of their heats and weren't ushered to tapes. In general there were a number of obvious unsatisfactory starts that the ref let go. I think it'll be close tonight. Hopefully the Glads sneak through but please can we replace Spencer, he's so far off the pace it's actually not fair on him. King paticularly cant seem to sit still at tapes also.

Good meeting with some great racing and 1st Class coverage from BSN. Edited Saturday at 12:54 PM by Fromafar

I think that’s a fair comment, he’s 26 been riding for quite a few seasons and doesn’t look like he could ever be more than a very average second division reserve, if only the sport had a bigger crop of teenagers vying for places, it would benefit everyone, it can’t be fun travelling hundreds of miles knowing it’s likely your going to be switched around and score nothing.

Hawk127
Well done to the Gladiators and that heat 15 result. Onwards and upwards with two of UK speedways ultimate professionals. Take a bow Scott and Danny. From the updates it seemingly was a great meeting on the best night of the week to run. Well done to all involved.
Popular Post Doners123
That meeting was British speedway alive and kicking. this site is very negative and Plymouth being its own micro climate and living in its own bubble is working. This meeting was superb, great racing, drama, last heat deciders. The fans from Redcar travel superbly and handshakes with gladiator fans at the end as well. incredible attendance I wouldn’t be surprised if that could be a new record for the colosseum. as I say I’m sure this site will be negative about something and ultimately it’ll help towards the demise of British speedway but Plymouth are bucking the trend and really getting good crowds and promoting speedway properly ! Plymouth is on the up and nothing less than mark deserves from all he has put in. 12
Steve Shovlar
Pleased for Gary May and Plymouth. A shame BSN didn’t cover both legs of the semi. Was almost tempted to buy the stream tonight. Should imagine the final against Poole is going to be packed out. Looking forward to it already. Bellers101
The sooner Redcar get rid of Klindt the better. I would take a half fit Wright over Klindt, at least some effort would be put in!

Doners123
The only negative tonight is Ben barkers injury and hopefully it’s not serious but if it is it’ll be interesting to see if the may make two changes. I don’t know off the top of my head if there is someone on a 7.57 that can replace Bens points at home. I’m not sure how far Riss would be away but he could be a straight swap. However you could possibly make 2 changes with barker and Spencer and that could cover the points. Would have 9.57 to cover for two riders. I agree about BSN, especially as I've bought a season pass. But I am pleased to say that I bought the stream and enjoyed the conclusion of this 2 leg semi final. It was a bit strange to see riders you'd expect to see scoring a few points, top scoring and established heat leaders really struggling. But that added to the drama. Some out-and-out committed riding in a "true" knock out competition. Well done to both sides on both nights. A real racing competition. redlead
5 points from the 2 top riders isn't good enough. But that apart, if Lamberts tyre had lasted for another half lap it would have been different.

Klindt getting some stick, whether deserved or not it is a team sport and the best team usually wins. In the home leg the combined points from the bears 2,3,4,& 5 (14) was only one more than Nikolai's score. Completely agree he can be brilliant or underwhelming which is not what you want from your No1 where consistency is required .
