Which he also was going to be riding in Denmark for. Which i had no issue with at the time as i thought that was rearranged and this one was the original.

So whichever was the original fixture, he should have been at Poole for not Denmark.

Like Bitza has said soon as they changed it to the KOC meeting it becomes a rearranged fixture had it been the League fixture as originally planned, Lawson would have been at Poole that night

Oh dear the pilot fans are in meltdown over the rocket man seemingly pleasing himself which team he rides for on a Wednesday 🤣. Tell you what why don't you all protest outside the stadium and don't pay to get in  maybe the Fords may take notice, then again maybe not 🤣

Many have already paid. Personally looking forward to seeing Masters and Kennett, along with hearing whether Cook will be missing Friday or Saturday?

Zachs polish meeting is Sunday so hopefully he is available, but Klindt at Plymouth last year missed meetings when he rode on Sunday in Poland.

This meeting has been rearranged though it was meant to be on June 24th but it was changed to the KOC meeting between the 2 sides

Are you sure?

BSN announced their matches at the start of the season.

The dates of the 4 Berwick matches haven't changed so I would say this is the original league fixture (the Berwick v Poole meeting at Berwick was changed from league to cup).

Personally I think it stinks, Poole should be his priority. He has been great for Poole mostly but he missed the Cup meeting and now a league meeting. In my view this is unacceptable.

Lawson doesn't make the criteria for fixed race nights...

The promoters agree them with the FIM...

He will just be following the rules as agreed by the four main countries.....

I wouldn't be surprised if he would much prefer to travel to Poole rather than Denmark...

Particularly as he also has a "day job" over here...

Then don't sign for a Danish club. 👀🙈

Have they? I would say majority pay on the gate going by queues.

What a farce and unacceptable. If Lawson has signed for his Danish club before us then there’s nothing to be done but considering he has ridden for Poole in previous seasons, it has to be said it stinks. Not acceptable and my guess would be it’s his final season in the skull and crossbones.

I have to agree, something has changed this year with Richards commitments, not just at Poole. We have had a gap of 4 weeks then he misses another meeting! I also think this will be his last year at Poole.

Cairns won't be riding on Friday as it's SGP2 Round 2 in Lodz

Maybe they could ask him his thoughts at Ipswich tonight.

As a Poole fan hugely disappointed a british rider has to miss a British meeting to ride in a bloody Danish one! So fed up with everyone taking the piss out of british speedway, if you can't fully commit then f off!! Would rather watch national league racing knowing 7 fully committed riders barring illness/injury.

I didn't say the 'majority' I said many. Season ticket holders, sponsors, those that bought online, they all still have to queue.

You would end up with the NDL racing you describe..

If (when), Poland bring in their "Poland plus one league" stipulation then many who double up now won't be able to, even if they choose the UK over Sweden and Denmark as their "other league"..

I can see Poole going tier one on Wednesdays next season given the standard of teams the Championship may end up with without the HL's who double up and have Polish contracts..

The Leicester performance tonight doesn't make great reading Kemp 15/6 Masters 6/5 from a Poole point of view.

Re: the absence of Lawson on Wednesday if you want somebody to blame why not the person/people who decided to cancel the Berwick KO heat cos it coincided with a football match (balancing the cost of running a poorly attended KO heat against potentially a well supported final) and of course the person/people who decided to swop the scheduled league heat with the KO heat. (That was the real clanger). These decisions directly resulted the Richard being contractualy obliged to ride for the Danish team on both occasions. Lawson is just trying to make riding speedway fit his life, he's done nothing wrong he's just doing what he has signed up to. The Fords on the other are making executive decisions that determine who actually rides for Poole on the night.

Tbf Kildermand is understandable as he is actually Danish. Lawson should be getting banned for that, it is ridiculous.

Agree, also there should be no guests allowed for riders away riding abroad except FIM meetings. The might taken the Promoters up when rearranging meetings.

Im sorry but no. If you dont want any clashes then dont sign for 2 leagues that ride on the same night. He wasnt forced into it!

I think that judgment is harsh, this is a person's  livelihood (with a new family to support)as well as a sport. Can you really expect riders to simply ride for your entertainment? If the Fords had wanted/ valued it Lawson's obliged absences could have been AVOIDED, the promoters have basically not been the shrewd operators that they imagine they are. Their decisions have determined who rides on Wednesday, not Lawson. So yes he was forced into it!
