Of course, it's terrible when someone uses their knowledge to make a post, as opposed to just blurting out nonsense...

Great to see Cookie got a full five ride Max... Surprisingly not been mentioned by those who are somewhat more prone on here to giving him grief....

You can sit there getting all worked up that it’s not like the Ekstraliga but you are just kidding yourself if you think British speedway will ever be at that level again, just enjoy it for what it is, some good racing and something to watch on a Monday night And by the way, I’ve watched plenty of crap meetings from Poland.

I think you'll find she is I speedway because she wants to race and has demonstrated sufficient ability and achievements to progress in her chosen sport.

Must admit it was better when ALL points counted.....

Some of the reactions on here are quite hysterical. A person committed a crime, was caught and served their time - happens all the time, get over it As for other speedway riders, we've had alleged and convicted corruption, multiple drug abusers, alcohol abusers, violent criminals, including murder and many of these are/were warmly thought of e.g. Lee, Morans, Ward. Very few have no victims, the drugs trade sees many deaths and abuses of people across the world. If he wants to ride speedway then I have no problem with that.

The thing with passing is people do also sometimes have to accept that the quickest riders are also the better gaters

Good to see he has got the chance , when he is riding the way he is and the way we know he can he is an asset to both leagues. I wish him well and hope it is a success for him.

    1) there are far better ways to achieve that 2) this won't be the case in the Cardiff & Warsaw GPs. I find it odd they created a system for the reason you said, then qualifying can stop the GP winner being top scorer.

They have both been around a long time experimenting should be done at a practice session.Your missing Douglas who was a real No1 and very reliable everywhere unlike his replacement.

Maybe got confused by King's Lynn calling off meetings because of no water falling from sky.

That list is still huge and amounts to around £60,000, it stretched back to the 90s, some of the non payers are no longer with us, some have just retired and gone off into the sunset but some are still riding and have no intention of paying, said this before that if any rider has a debt to a speedway van sales at the end of the season then next year they shouldn’t be granted a license till it’s paid, I know a few years ago this was the case with Aussies but not sure if that still the case

The NSSC are hosting a special event on Tuesday 7th May at the Brandon Club. Starting at 8pm, Paul Ackroyd, David Norris and Gary Havelock will be discussing the work of the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund. Although at times it is a solemn but necessary subject there will be plenty of opportunity for David & Gary to entertain the audience with tales of past adventures. It promises to be a great event with all proceeds for the SRBF. Everyone welcome only £4 entry. All details here; https://www.nuneatonspeedwaysupportersclub.co.uk

Definitely pleased to have Klindt back, but definitely still a rider short of a top 4 team. I was doubting Niels, but after his performance last week at Oxford, think he will do a decent job for us - leaves MPT / Patryk who I'm not convinced with.....one would be ok, but not both....

Really can't understand the point of the scoring system, for example Woffinden 3 points = 1 GP point. If Woffy had fallen off instead of winning one race, he'd still score the same single point! Then you have Kvech, Wozniak & Vaculik all scoring 6 points, but Vaculik gets 2 more GP points than Kvech - is this really the best they can come up with?

Woffinden done at this level think this is the last we will see of him the GP

Woffinden is a very talented rider and can still turn it on at the top level and he can certainly talk the talk but for me his body language on the bike says he doesn’t really want it enough, his first ride he backed off going into first turn, did a cut back and then basically moved over to let lindgren through, that’s not the body language of a world champion

Based on the last two years.. A gradual decline sets in, eg Magic and Dudek. All very willing but turning around a downward trajectory is very, very difficult.. Especially with so many young bucks coming through.. Many of whom will take risks that the more established riders wont anymore.. Hope I am wrong, but whem you start relying on wild cards it usually only goes one way..

Leon looked better tonight but still lacking speed his track craft more than anything got him through. Think we would have took 12 points before it started and some great racing again. Sets things up nicely for Wednesday. And take a bow Jack Smith absolutely superb.

Unfortunately there is no normal life for Jason, he is a talent on two wheels, very funny and a likeable guy but the but goes a long way back. Jason was kept out of a secure place to stay because of his ability on a Speedway bike when Chris Morton and David Gordon agreed/were persuaded by the probation services to train him and give him an opportunity to change his life. Those commitments kept him out of custody but when it came to formally signing a contract other clubs stepped in so off he went and became effectively unsupervised. The rest is fairly well known the negative almost feral influences around him put him back to square one. Others from our sport were influenced by Jason and got into similar difficulties with the authorities, one I know is certainly not riding anymore. What you see is what you get with Jason it's the bags and baggage that will be the problem I'd put him in a team tomorrow but wouldn't allow his entourage anywhere near a Speedway track.

UK Speedway is not in competition with any foreign league speedway. Fans watch/attend or not. UK attendances are reportedly increasing despite in some cases racing in dilapidated Stadia so the actual racing is clearly offering something that fans want. It's still 4 riders for 4 laps x 15. What's not to like!
