You’ve gotta love Jason Doyle. British Speedway legend. Not many treat OUR league with respect like he does. He even turned up last night for a challenge at Poole where it didn’t matter a jot, and still rode his heart out to a full 15 point max. What a servant he’s been and we’ll all miss him when he’s gone. Can’t see others at the top table that does what he does here. We should all get behind him at the GP’s!10 points

Thats a fantastic effort to get that meeting on.9 points

What's really worrying is that if Kings Lynn and Peterborough merged, taking all the best riders with them, they'd still be crap!6 points

I thought Cook looked a tidy little rider and was on the pace and improved with each ride, he certainly tried harder then most of his team mates that's for sure6 points

It’s very nearly a whole year without a win. And it’s very possible the way things are going. I feared you wouldn’t finish the season and every week passing is not changing my thinking.5 points

Yeah and given the farce it became that was such a shocking decision4 points

Bit off topic but i hope you all turn out for Sundays' British Youth Championship fixture. Last year's event was poorly attended despite it being a very entertaining 25 heat meeting. I think last years price was £10 so it was well worth the entrance fee. And supporting the next generation of riders is no bad thing.4 points

I believe that this current team ranks as one of the worst in our illustrious history. Coupled with that, one of the worst promoters. What should be a final year of celebration and happy memories is quickly turning into a season which will leave a nasty taste in many supporters mouths. Promotion has let our club and supporters down big time and should be held responsible for the shambolic mess we find ourselves in now.4 points

Hats off to Bob Ellis - trackman at Foxhall Foxhall underwater at lunchtime and in full race order by start time Shows what can be done by a professional committed promotion with the right team and the right knowledge and skills4 points

Up until track grade that was a brilliant meeting. Bit of everything you want to see in a speedway meeting, well done Scunthorpe. Great win for the stripes, everyone contributing great to see. Marcin getting to grips with UK tracks too. Great nights entertainment3 points

Tbf my phone changes Mulford to Milford lol. It also changed Cook once to fool3 points

The fixture list at most tracks are a shambles no doubt it will have an effect on crowd levels.IMO. don’t think the heat six abandonment is a reason ?IMO.Poor weather forecasts put a lot of fans off these days.IMO.Riders attitudes have a bigger knock on effect,it does takes much to make them want to go home.Fans are wary these days.3 points

I’d like to see joe Thompson get team kevlars and bike covers and get the rest of the season regardless. he is a great trier and worth persevering with. 20 years ago we did the same with a young Danny king and have had 17 loyal seasons. I can see a lot of similarities3 points

Well we are missing the big elephant in the room here!..... ..... Cook is also a Poole rider and we know Gavan has issue with them! I bet he is secretly gutted that Cook got as many as 6!3 points
-
That's very harsh, he was their best rider given his lack of experience at Foxhall and first year in premiership. He was pressuring riders ahead, made a couple of good starts and passed as well. He was only passed by iversen in heat 9 because he was trying to overhaul Rew and made a mistake. Peterborough's weaknesses are elsewhere.3 points

Works well, I don't think so! Crowds are down because of the lack of regular fixtures. If meets are going to be cancelled in May when 3mm of rain are forecasts we'll be racing in poor weather in October again.3 points

So let’s see if I’m getting this it’s the same competition but with a totally different name and it’s not a jubilee year. Struggling with that. Glasgow felt at the time it was inappropriate to continue under the sad passing off our Queen and to celebrate it as a jubilee cup, under the circumstances I thought at the time and still do that it was the correct thing to do.2 points
-
Pity they didn't show the same enthusiasm for the Jubilee Trophy last year... Glasgow shouldn't even be in the competition this year!2 points

Everything about Ipswich is spot on these days. The image of the team Kevlars, bike covers all matching gives the whole thing a huge air of professionalism. The website & social media feeds are fantastic. A huge well done on how the club has developed under Louis junior. Would certainly give the polish lot a run for their money…..2 points

Lack of use and interest? Just the sort of thing AEPG need to bulldoze the speedway infrastructure and claim that there isn't the interest to save it or provide an alternative elsewhere: excellent negotiating policy and position!2 points

Your the idiot mate..just a keyboard warrior..you wouldn't say boo to a goose to in real life so do us all a favour and stay off the Panthers chat because you are boring the s*** out of everyone on here.2 points

He wanted other riders in the team and that was essentially black balled by good old buster, with that in mind he didn’t want too be team manager and as previously stated it was only the morning of P&P that he agreed too do it so rob Lyon in my opinion isn’t too blame for anything at all! Wouldn’t blame him if he walked away2 points

So Cook should do better from his 6 rides on first visit,,, so from that Hume must have been awful,, as he only got 4 from his 6 rides,,, and he has been there plenty of times2 points

If every track had Bob as it's trackman there wouldn't be half as many call offs as the is i reckon1 point

Redcar prospects depend on 3 Riders, Hume,Bailey & Milford , The other 4 Cannot afford to drop a point ,!!! The young reserve Milford has not scored a point at home yet !!!! I would be delighted If we can stay within 6 .1 point

Oxford has confirmed that Jenkins is fit to race, so that's a relief. Belle Vue Colts: Jack Smith, Luke Muff, Sam Hagon, Matt Marson, James Pearson, Jack ShimeIt, Freddy Holder. Oxford Chargers: Jordan Jenkins, Jacob Clouting, Henry Atkins, Jody Scott, Ryan Kinsley, Luke Killeen, Jacob Fellows.1 point

Give it a rest the Poole thing is tiresome Once again can’t stand Poole as a club for all the past stunts they pulled Can’t stand some of your supporters on here because they are blinkered morons who actually don’t understand the sport and can’t see past their own club Never have I had anything against their riders just because I can’t stand other areas Ben Cook is a neat and tidy rider and is doing ok for his first season in the top flight though his home scores have been awful He did ok at Foxhall and was one of Peterborough’s better riders which wasn’t saying much My point that you clearly missed was he scored 6 from 6 … yes he was on the pace no question but yes I thought before the meeting he had the potential to win heat 2 and to also cause Rew a few problems but Rew was awesome I’d hope my number 6 could get 6 from 4 not 6 from 6 but no Cook wasn’t the issue for Peterborough last night At Belle Vue he beat Brennan and at Leicester he beat Lawson twice and Harris once …. I don’t think it was beyond the realms of possibility he couldn’t have beaten Rew and certainly had the potential to win heat 2 I think in 5 maybe 6 matches he has won heat 2 once … the way the team is built he needs to be winning more of those he is a championship heat leader But he is doing an ok job in a side that is pretty pathetic to be fair1 point

I recall Brandon Stadium successfully staging one of the British GP's years ago. Perhaps speedway should get behind speedway returning to Brandon, which has a capacity of 24,000 and could be the new Wembley for British speedway!1 point

Exactly that they've saved a killing with him having missed so many meetings. If the 3k a meeting was true that's £15k minimum they've saved, I really can't imagine they've spent anywhere near than on guests and R/R1 point

Jesper Olsen by a mile. Not a superstar but arguably the most exciting rider we had during the Shawfield era. All action, great entertainer, it was a huge disappointment that he didn't come back when the Tigers reformed in 1997.1 point

...the price of fuel is what largely dictates my not travelling and to be fair I did limit my trips to other tracks during my last years attending speedway keeping very much to my local track at Cowley where I lived within walking distance.1 point
