  1. Jason has just posted on Instagram. Has a bad gash to his cheek. Has dislocated his left hip and has taken a proper beating. But he says he will be back soon.

  4. They ain't wrong though, are they? Believe me, I know how crap it is watching your team slowly die, but it's just one thing after the other. I'm sure Nigel Tolley means well, and he's probably put everything into the club (at his expense), but the whole thing has been a shambles. The writing probably should've been on the wall when Grim Reaper Rogers became involved, sadly.

  5. Agree. Tough on Lindgren. He was in front, and left plenty of room for Kurtz on the outside. Kurtz made sure there was contact.

  7. I'd be surprised if Birmingham see out the season. Promotion take the Brummies fans for mugs with various lies and false hope.

  8. Like this hasn't been known since the start of the season. Polish media announced that MJJ wasn't doing a full season in Britain and now it's being made out its a last minute decision? Absolute load of s***. Embarrassing from all sides. And as always, the sport in this country is made to look even more amateur. I genuinely believed things were getting better and we were seeing a move in the right direction. But it's all the same old.

  10. No blame on fricke, looks like Doyle catches the dirt delflector (again) and it straightens him up, first bend fair decision but no blame on fricke

  12. Thought it was a bad decision to exclude Lindgren, if they touched it was so minimal. Just encourages riders to lay it down & get a re-run. Lambert was far harder on Bewley in the British final! Should Bewley have laid it down to get Lambert excluded? Get well soon Jason Doyle.

  14. I think people should lighten up a bit with @LagutaRacingFan especially at this difficult time for him 😢 He's only just got over Artem running away from the UK

  15. Maybe ask the promotion to confirm or deny if MJJ was on a short term contract I remember Adam Ellis getting a load of flack when he also had a short term contract and it was insinuated then that he had walked out when it was not the case. looks like the very same situation to me

  17. MJJ did say he wasn't closing the door on returning to Birmingham. He might be back in August once his schedule has calmed down a little bit.

  19. I thought the Freddie and Kurtz incident was a debatable decision, Freddie in front, Kurtz laid it down??...50/50 decision.

  20. Not helped by Tatum & Louis commentating from the UK. And as good as rider as Hancock may have been, for me, he ain't cut out for punditry.

  21. Always said that its the whole Speedway GP weekend experience which is why its so enjoyable. We're off to Prague again in 2 weeks and we couldn't care less if it's the most boring and processional racing ever witnessed. Guaranteed we'll have a brilliant weekend.

  22. Terrible news just hope its not as bad as it seems, ive always liked Doyley got a lot of respect for him, great rider, loyal to British speedway, he seems to be similar to Tai in picking up these injuries, at this stage of their careers they need to think about the future, and they always seem to be the innocent party, i would heed the warnings and call it quits but these are speedway riders a breed apart. Best wishes for a full recovery.

  23. Spot on👍.All I/we wanted was honesty about the whole situation, but as I said in an earlier post that the silence was deafening.😉

  24. They announced the signing on the 16th of January, hardly a last minute signing, it was an open secret that he was only here for 2 months, yet they signed him anyway... not the first time they've done this. Although it's sad to lose another track, I can't say the promotion will be missed.

  26. I thought it was a good meeting. There was some good passing from those willing to stick it around the outside. Bit of a weird pile up after the final, which almost became comical. Glad no one picked up an injury from that. In terms of the standard, it will get better in line with opportunities for these riders. Compare the number of meetings today with what it used to be, and that's a good chunk of the reason it is what it is. But there was some good racing.

  28. Ipswich traditionally always get a big crowd on BH's, (particularly when the weather is good). I remember the GF crowds were often the highest in the UK for the whole of the season... The issue they have, like all other tracks, is maintaining something similar the next meeting, let alone the rest of the season.. Where do all these disappear to? And why?

  29. A working class family can get a lot of entertainment these days for £60, a nice meal out, some drinks, followed by cinema, in the warm and not going home covered in dust. It's okay having kids interval runabout races and kids for a quid etc but when they hit 16/17 there's a 2,300% price increase... and they're lost unless they've got a really really good job at that age or parents prepared to pay for them.

  30. Awful for Dan to miss out on a chance of picking up a title that would've been a nice validation of his superb progression

  31. What a difference it was last night. Enjoyable meeting, dirt on the track, Hume and Hagon going much better, along with Woody and Smith looking good when they weren’t throwing points away. For all Cook wants his slick consistent surface, last night proved that a bit of dirt certainly doesn’t go amiss, and we shouldn’t cater to one rider. That track provided more passing, more entertainment, and the best team result we’ve had this season, end of.

  32. Yeah, Cairns is a huge prospect. I’m looking forward to seeing how he does in the Championship with Poole. I don’t mean to be negative, but overall, I’m surprised by how poor the general standard is. Admittedly, I was on a lengthy hiatus from speedway, but I attended these meetings won by Scott Nicholls, Simon Stead with the likes of David Howe, Oliver Allen and Edward Kennett in amongst it. The standard was high, but today, I thought you could tell these were young boys; so much hesitancy and stiffness going round the bends. He didn’t, so it’s irrelevant, but had Dan Thompson not crashed, he’d have won that at an absolute canter this afternoon. The field used to be filled with Dan Thompson’s.

  37. Klindt is bang out of form which should be worrying for any KL fan. The guaranteed points from reserve might not be there tomorrow night. In fact I would bet the Sheffield reserves will outscore the KL reserves

  41. No you cannot win every meeting and we know that. Lawson is flying and the main reason we kept it close. We dont have any divine right to beat anyone but I still think this team is capable of winning the play offs, certain riders need to be better but come the play offs they will be I am sure and we will still be the team to beat, that does not mean we will win but we have as good a chance as everyone else in the league.

  42. The club says every year that they aim to build competitive teams. I’m not sure what’s wrong with that. Beyond some good natured derby ribbing I wouldn’t say either Scottish side gets too big for their boots as I think you’re implying?

  43. We were lucky to keep it close and we fought back well from 10 down. Again a slow start which we can’t seem to shrug off, we have had a decent amount of meetings now to do that, going back to 2009,2017 & 2019 the team as a whole just isn’t gelling and that is the same in this instance. Cairns isn’t going to make the difference when he comes in and it shouldn’t be expected he will as your just putting a sticky plaster over the situation and the rest of the team. No disrespect to Scunthorpe, Edinburgh or Berwick who have struggled also at the start of this season, we are stronger than them and should beat them. But people need to take their blue tinted glasses off if they think when Oxford, Redcar and Glasgow meet us we will not be found out with this team, it’s simply not strong enough. That’s not being negative that’s being honest and real about the situation with the team we have put together in 2025. We will make the playoffs I’m certain, but with this team currently we won’t be making it past the semi final stages and that will be the same for the cup competition. Just because a rider has one good meeting, as the saying goes a swallow doesn’t make a summer! Well done to Berwick last night, you wanted it more and rode very well.

  44. You thought wrong then, I watched it again a few times to see what happened, there was contact but there was no running across. The ref put all 4 back as he should have done.

  45. God how elite ist are you Poole fans, you expect to win every meeting wow god knows what you would be like supporting a normal club, like my own club the comets, been very poor so far, but we fight on UTC

  48. It's all very "Mickey Mouse" isn't it? But, to be fair, that is pretty much Speedway's level in the UK, and has been for several decades.. Far too late now to change anything... They missed a huge trick when coming out of lockdown to reposition the sport with a fit for purpose operating model and even maybe a salary cap... Instead. They chose to carry on doing the same failing nonsense that clearly wasn't working given the dwindling crowds year on year.... It's just "tick, tock, tick tock" for UK Speedway, unless anyone grabs it by the "wotsits" and directs it "off the track" to deliver the following the "raw product on the track" deserves...
