He did not have a world class season last season, he had a good season. He's not in the GP's Didn't make the SGP Challenge Not in the SoN team Not in the Ekstraliga Couldn't achieve an 8 point average in the PL Couldn't achieve a 7 point average away from home in the PL3 points

He froze himself out, in a way! Declined at least two invitations to ride for clubs he judged "too far north" didn't he?3 points

I rate him. Just think it's beyond a tough ask for him to ride @ No.6 when he's not even got any CHAMP experience let alone PREM experience under his belt.2 points

Thank you to those who do the clubs youtube. I have been enjoying the matches from the archives. Personally speaking it makes April seem not so far away with a half decent meeting on a Sunday night. Thank you x22 points

And yet the airbase have planes fly over regularly, and they don’t make any noise do they! Some damn people.2 points

Put it like this... If shale contaminates the doggy sand at Mildenhall, then the dogs will be quickly told to like it or lump it only not quite so politely! If Arc do take over Oxford dog licence and Ownership, I'd fear a similar scenario to Monmore...where the dogs would rule!2 points

Blimey the lad isn't even in the country and he's being criticised, give him a break. Many years ago there was a couple of young lads from New Zealand who spent a lot of time hitting the deck or the fence, remember some other riders wanted them banned. Briggs and Mauger were their names, i often wonder how their careers panned out.2 points

Sure it featured in the Speedway Star also. FRom memory he wasn't getting regular racing in Poland or struggled due to lack of racing and mentiined the UK as a potential opportunity to develop and get regular racing. If his salary expectations weren't too high and logistics worked if on an assessed average could be worth an option. Although with Kildemand riding at Berwick he will have machinery + mechanic already in place.1 point

Shouldn’t matter what number is on your back. If you’ve got it (which the kid does) then you’ll be absolutely fine1 point

Wish I was as confident as you! I'm hoping than Dan T will continue on the same trajectory and maybe push for that third heat leader spot. I see him as the one that could put the most on his average in this team.1 point

Perhaps they going to introduce the 6th team in the playoff like the joker, who knows at this point ?1 point

I personally think KL fans are overrating their own side due to them going with the Young Stars duo at reserve. Granted the youngsters are ones for the future but they've basically got no experience riding at PREM level so asking them to out gate and out race experienced season pro's is more than a long shot imo. Difference between racing against NDL or CHAMP 2nd Strings to riding against riders who ride against top quality opposition week in and week out whether it's in DEN, POL or SWE.1 point

Maybe waiting for a work permit to be confirmed if a foreign 4 / 5 point rider is being signed 🤔1 point

And didn't have to ride in heat one several times a season from gate four!!! A race that can often be an average killer for a number one given the level of the opposition's No1 and both No2's, who gate inside you on a one line fresh track...1 point

I hope Belle Vue don't win anything!! Boughen was a issue and agree so was Cook.1 point

Cook was more of a problem than Boughen. How you can blame a RS for Kings Lynn’s lack of success last season is a ridiculous statement. I’m sure you won’t be blaming Cairns if Belle Vue don’t win anything.1 point

To me it would be logical to say a Brit who didn't ride in the Prem or Champ qualifies for the reduction. But the BSPL announcement talked about riders returning to the sport, that doesn't sound like the Ablitt scenario.1 point

Makes you wonder why it was never used by the old promotion... this could be a deal breaker 😂1 point

Fully agree, covering injuries or illness is one thing but a rider having somewhere better to be is not ok it’s outright disrespectful to the people who pay their money week in week out.1 point

I don’t think anyone can really begrudge the lad a reduction. He’s a young British lad that will more than likely be froze out the sport otherwise! Anyway he might not be in the team after all!1 point

I think if you do want to be successful as a team without an out and out number 1, you need to be tracking a number 6 that is better than whoever Leicester are going to have in that position. Maybe somebody like a Klindt, who has the capability of banging in some big scores from that position and climbing out of the reserve berth. From memory the number 6 position of Dad's Army was pretty much a revolving door all season, with most riders spending a spell there. Without that rider, to make replacements during a meeting, you're going to need to be at least 4 points up prior to heats 13 and/or 15 to be in with a chance of league points. Dougy should be okay in those heats at home but the rest will be a lottery.1 point

I watched the Aussie meetings on bsn and I think Reid will do okay, he can gate, and is a racer, may need to calm himself a bit though. Will be an interesting watch. Disappointed that Jacob Hook does not have a place. We really need to stop losing riders that increase their average due to the team limits, it's always the 5 pointers that lose out.1 point

Would like to know what his idea that sets him apart is. He was part of the leadership team that screwed over Birmingham and Oxford. Come and join os and we will share top riders, then sign them all up and leave them both without established number 1’s. He was part of the group that wrongly stopped Freddie’s debut at Brum ironically against Ipswich, screwing over Tolley again. As far as I can see he has been a part of the problem.1 point

Now that would be interesting if he was to throw his hat in the ring with NORA and challenge the status quo1 point

One Million Percent... There should have been soundbites from Promoters leading up to the meeting, putting forward, in a positive way, what they would like to see from the AGM... Giving it some importance and resonance... And then. On the day. Photos taken of all there and shared via all SM outlets, including one as a collective all together... Then, last evening, a statement (again positive), should have been put out, even if it was only to acknowledge the meeting took place, a generic update as to what's agreed, and that a further statement with detail is forthcoming in the next "x" hours.... Do they actually have a PR person? Edit. Did the meeting actually take place? Which, as we don't know, probably answers my question re any PR person....1 point

Rather ironic really that when one big league is discussed and the loss of the star rider is lamented by some it is defended by others stating "you still get great races with the likes of Simon Lambert" "great team man" "we could do with more like Simon Lambert" "we need to develop and look after our own" yet even the team that is signing the one we have don't seem greatly enthusiastic about it!! Surely every team should be fighting over him.......0 points
