Sorry that's too complicated. How about making RR available to two riders above the replaced rider and two below, rather than one above and three below3 points

That decision alone pretty much summed up UK Speedway.... A team found a "sweet spot" night to ride on, so were getting better crowds, and then got stopped from doing so as it wasnt their "official night" meaning there were not enough "guests" now available on Fridays... FFS!!!!2 points

With the amount of injuries we've seen this season, along with other issues such as riders missing, away riding on the continent and 6 or 8 CL teams riding on the same day the guest and R/R situation needs reformed IMO. It's something that never seems to get looked at. R/R should be made more appealing, as it stands it more often that not, makes the side instantly much weaker and racks up the zero's for the reserves, especially if those reserves are NL guests. Something like if a 5.50 average rider is missing, the team manager gets 22 points (5.50x4) from the team's averages to replace that rider. It can be any combination, i.e an 8.5 could take a ride, but that one ride uses up most of the points, and technically have to use 'weaker' riders for the other 3 rides. It would bring more strategy to the meeting for team managers. If it's deemed too strong at a vote, a 5% reduction to the 22 points figure (20.9) could be in place for R/R used at an away meeting. The 8 day guest rule should be abolished IMO, with a lack of riders, I see no need for this rule anymore. Guests should be able to be brought in from anywhere on previous or assessed averages, i.e not declared in a PL or CL team, this would probably be very rare, but if clubs want to do it let them. The 28 day rule replacement rule is nonsense.2 points

Sedgemen as a replacement that's like having to decide to cut off your left or right foot with a rusty breadknife he won't be any better than paco, he's 7 point man in the championship and purely a trapper very rarely overtakes.2 points

Don't be a wally, be graceful. You fully deserved it last night but were incredibly fortunate last year. Because Sedgmen isn't very good and didn't really want Prem. McDairmid would have fitted and looks a better option right now in light of how well the reserves have started (would have been a very young bottom end with him at 2). If Castagna and Cook were replaced before Thursday/Monday I wouldn't be disappointed, neither were anywhere good enough last night. They shouldn't be that uncompetitive on their own track. Next Monday is a must win, its effectively season over if we lose another home meeting as its difficult to see us clawing those defeats back at BV, Sheff, Leicester or Ipswich at the moment. I dont think the score last night really reflected how much better BV were, there was a bit of a chasm between the sides in reality. Cooper just gets better each week, phenomenal stuff from him last night.2 points

Will Mr Godfrey make a team change their fixtures so Workington have a better choice of guests like he did a few seasons ago? NO, he only did that for his teams benefit, all in the best interests of the sport (his team).2 points

Poole can carry Bowes with no issues, they might be scuppered if a reserve gets injured but apart from that they will walk the league no problem2 points

Think Harris is working on getting his average down under 8 to guarantee a Team place next year.🤔2 points

How convenient a poor scoring rider is out, with a non speedway injury?? keeping his average high, for a future change, and far better riders take his place, thus potentially scoring more points 😲. That's not cheating is it 😃1 point

There is something called the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester, heaven only knows why it was called this. Touted as one of the best race tracks in the country and pretty central why oh why aren't the Pairs and CLRC being staged there. British Speedway is just exasperating.1 point

Pretty decent, especially given the watering the track got.... Phil Morris would have been proud!!! The inside is still a bit too grippy due to the moisture, meaning the wide line isn't quite working well enough... Still a good watch, two pretty even teams.... With Jason Doyle probably the difference...1 point

Great team riding from Berntzon... Blocked his team mate and let Doyle ride underneath the pair of them... Hold the line and would have been a 5-1...1 point

To be honest I can’t see him making much difference if any to the Foxes side when he does arrive.1 point

Famous last words, but... I have seen some fantastic racing from this track, when it has "peed down".... Here's hoping..1 point

To be fair, Foxhall has changed a bit since he rode it regularly. Ironically, I wonder if it's a confidence thing? He's settled into Championship racing, but is feeling a bit stressed in the Prem - not just the expectation of the fans but putting pressure on himself, because the current Witches line-up needs all seven riders to be on it ... Hopefully, he will get off to a good start in Heat 3 - he definitely needs to beat Cook and Kerr.1 point

probably got more money scoring zero, in Poland then he did at kings Lynn, but we know his club in Poland wont take much more of that,. he is fast when in front but struggles when behind. so will be thinking about his future.1 point

Jenga account got locked out few years back He rejoined as j2ohn He did have minor health issues for a while but it was only ladt 6 months He was real ill Did pick up and was looking like he was pulling through but then went down hill fast sadly Wont name the rider but 1 off the old aussies from the time his family ran speedway has been in touch with family to pass on condolences Says a lot when a ex rider kept in touch for 40 years or more1 point

Nicholls seems to have got things together in the Championship, now need to start seeing some of that translate on a track he knows better than anyone.1 point

That would only provide twelve riders though. I suspect if Cooper & Cairns weren't in it people probably wouldn't turn out in enough numbers unfortunately.1 point

He’s just won Ducatis first off road world championship round! That’s including all off road motorsports ie mx enduro ect. Ducati don’t just pick any one to represent them they obviously see Ashtons potential with his mx background. He won the meeting, set fastest times of the day, give Ducati motorcycles there first ever off road world win and has made history for both Ducati & his team.1 point

You will not make the playoffs imo . Don’t worry about it though. It’s all pointless really.1 point

But, if you look at the video from behind, although Cooper's front wheel is turning left, his bike is still moving straight or to the right. He never comes in beyond mid track. If you look at the first lap Kye Thomson rides a similar line, albeit that he doesn't scrub off speed by over locking. Maybe Cooper was just following the line Kye took on the previous lap, thinking that was the racing line When people say 'what else could Luke have done' then look at the line Jody Scott took at the end of lap one to go inside Luke and much closer to the white line. I doubt anyone is going to change their mind about what happened and who caused it. Of course, these incidents happen in the blink of an eye. Given injuries to riders elsewhere over the last few days I am just glad that the injuries here appear relatively minor (although any concussion is not to be treated lightly)1 point

The white trail line is the biggest evidence you need regardless of the front wheel movement. Rushen doesn't deviate. I'm still waiting for an explanation as to what Cooper should have done??1 point

Was at the Gneizno Slask meeting yesterday on bend one, it was the most shocking/horrific accident I've ever seen. After initial screams and gasps from a healthy crowd the stadium went completely silent and remained so. It was obvious immediately that the meeting would be abandoned. From where we were it looked like poor Patryk had clipped the end of the concrete stand before descending about 30 feet. Fair play to the Gneizno track staff though, they cleared the centre green of many hoardings in good time to allow for the arrival of the imminent helicopter. Wishing the young lad all the best and I do hope he can make a full recovery.1 point

Fantastic, pairs at one of the worst tracks in the country. Should be at Belle Vue or Glasgow.1 point

Apart from NKI... I presume he takes the ferry to Poland?.. Sadly, no ferries now run direct to Denmark, but there is a route via Germany and Holland...1 point

This text from Sportowefakty, translated, details how grave the situation is this morning. Keep fighting Patryk 🙏 https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/1250038/zawodnik-po-fatalnym-wypadku-juz-po-operacji-mamy-nowe-informacje-stan-jest-ciez 'The player was placed in a medically induced coma before arriving at the hospital. His injuries were immediately diagnosed. It was clear from the outset that he had suffered multiple leg fractures, including open fractures, and had lost significant blood. Now we're learning that his spine was also severely damaged. " The man has undergone complicated spinal surgery. He is currently in the intensive care unit and will undergo further CT scans today for further diagnosis. I can say that his condition is serious. The young player's surgery was completed after 3 a.m. ," Zuzanna Pankros, spokesperson for the Poznań hospital, told us. Although the hospital cannot provide detailed information, we know that at this point, every hour in the fight for Patryk Budniak's health and life is important. "We can't provide too much detailed information, and at this point we can't even talk about any prognosis. Every hour is precious . Today's CT scan will show whether we know everything, or whether other ailments have surfaced. The situation is truly grave, and we're all keeping our fingers crossed for the young man," concludes Zuzanna Pankros.'1 point

You must of enjoyed ht14 then when barker got a point off 15 metres or was that down to having a warmer tyre then everyone else 😂 tate was correctly excluded and went down before Tom was in the fence. You lost mate to an underperforming plymouth team and you will lose alot more based on that performance, swallow the sour grapes and accept it.1 point

Hi all, I hope this is okay to post as a comment in here. I know many of you may have known my father as Jenga / j20hh. He sadly passed away recently after battling with various illnesses the last couple of months, but I know he was fairly active on here, and I thought it would be fitting to log into this account to announce it. I'm aware he was a bit of a marmite character on these forums, but he was on here exactly how he was in real life, a windup merchant with bad grammar. It's been fascinating to look back through his posts and comments, and more so the replies from other people. I can only apologise if he aggravated any of you with his comments, but know that they've brought a grieving son a great deal of joy, to have an online archive of my Dad just trying his best to wind people up over a sport he loved. Speedway and Workington Comets were a huge part of my Dad's life, and a huge part of my childhood, I'm sure I'll have to get down to Northside to honour his memory soon. If any of you happened to know him in real life, I'd be more than happy to pass on funeral details over a PM. Thanks1 point
