  1. Lynn should be docked two league points like they were previously. With cooper an injury doubt and a team change incoming they had no intention of ever riding last night.

  2. Dan Ford on Charlie Southwick: "This is exactly what the sport is about - a young rider working his way through, showing commitment, and earning an opportunity" Noble words from Dan there. Just one slight issue...Poole still won't consider running an NDL team. The Happy Clappers down there don't like NDL racing, so there is no money to be made. Poole continue their policy of letting other tracks run the NDL, and they can pick out young riders when it suits them. Poole Parasites

  3. Maybe so,but it was called off the night before on a forecast. And you said it was nice one Thursday, they just got lucky with the rain coming late on Thursday.Lynn were unlucky with the predicted rain coming a few hours later than predicted.IMO no team should be allowed to postpone a fixture the night before on a weather forecast, not just Lynn.

  4. Not saying that at all they do as they wish that’s entirely up to them -all I’m saying there track record isn’t good on dodgy call offs so if some fans find the reasons hard to believe it’s hardly surprising. But ultimately they do as they please but in any other sport there would be repercussions.

  5. The trouble with dodgy call-offs is that fans lose trust and that is important. No-one will trust Lynn again when it comes to this because they've been caught red-handed before.

  10. We go through this every year. Regardless of possible underhand reasoning, what is it Speedway fans want?? We see hundreds of comments of ban RR / guests, makes the sport a joke. Then there's moaning (rightly so imo) that meetings are called off for rain from 5-8pm. People need to stop being selfish pr!cks and realise the financial implications just for fans alone. There are 100s of fans at King's Lynn that it's costing £40-£80 round trip for these meetings. Taking whole / half day holidays from work Absolutely, 100%, calling a meeting a day before is beneficial for the wider public, regardless of reason

  13. Given its a bulky foam fence, it must be quite a task to move it from Lynn to Northampton. Does the fence get a 7 day ban if it doesn't make it back to Lynn for the next home fixture.

  15. I know he's no saint. But putting back a Lynn NDL match, or the new Prem team can't ride. He did it to help Northampton, or in the interest of the sport, take ya pick. He will never please some.

  16. The fence is guesting for Northampton and needs to rest up in a hotel (car park) the night before... it's all quite normal, just ask the Northamptoningham skipper 👍

  17. These days calling a meeting or 2 off a season, the day before due to a dodgy forecast might be the difference whether some clubs can just about afford to run or not. The crowds just ain't big enough at a lot of clubs to take the risk these days. Damned if you do, blah blah blah.. It seems like Buster has put a lot of time and effort into helping Northampton. I doubt if that could be said with every clubs owner?

  18. Maybe if Lynn had called it off on a different excuse. But if any other club can call it off the night before on a dodgy weather forecast, why can't Lynn.So your saying Lynn can run the risk of losing thousands of pounds but other clubs don't have too🤔

From GB Speedway Team's own website: "In addition to its senior team, Great Britain have now implemented a solid foundation with the launch of the GB Academy, embracing young athletes from the age of 15 and steering them through their development and into the Under 21 squad, there is now a very clear pathway for British Speedway athletes to reach the very top." https://www.gbspeedwayteam.com/about 👍

  23. Really it’s a compete joke and a farce Harris been given an opportunity while you’ve got Dan Thomson and Tom Brennan as meeting reserves. Two guys who should really be in the meeting. Harris just as bad accepting the gift.

  25. Yeah is strange especially when you have all these 2 pointers come in and overtake him. Thought he did ok at Berwick last season, probably should have stayed there. Though he is another one that doesn't follow advice apparently. Well that is what was said when he was at Poole a couple of years ago.

  29. Good value programme and content from the recent Glasgow v Workington meeting . It included an interview with the owner Mr Faccena who has big ambitions for the club and reiterated the high requirement for entertaining speedway above all else and that trophies were a bonus or words to that effect .

  33. In a Mickey Mouse sports entertainment business it doesn't make a jot of difference, it is maybe beneficial... but in a professional competitive sport wanting to attract TV coverage and the betting industry it really does (should) matter. If people want to hide their identity in a public environment it's usually for a reason, I don't think it's too much to wonder what that reason is 🤔 Anything wrong with the owner and director of Northampton being the team manager and CEO of Belle Vue where he is not an owner or director?

  37. I understand the logic of wanting the best riders picked, but "modern" speedway isn't about being the best over a season (play-offs) or the best over a meeting (LCQs / semi finals & finals) so picking riders based on one meeting falls in line with being able to be your best on a particular day / or particular race. I wouldn't say he wasn't good enough to get an attempt at qualifying for the GPs, he had that chance at the British final, just wasn't good enough on the day. Actually he had a second chance of qualifying for the GPs by winning the SEC, a competition he didn't qualify for either. I'd agree it would be odd Brennan not getting picked if they just chose 4 wild cards, but nothing odd when you know how the riders were selected. You can probably guess, I dislike all wild cards / seeded riders, would rather everything was decided on track.

  38. BSPL decided that this years picks were from the 2025 British Final positions and not in 2026 form or with any input form the Painter at Team GB. Personally think it should be based on a riders form from this year and not a meeting held a year ago as that British Final enabled the choice of the GB SGP wildcard .

  40. Feels wrong to me that choices are made based on 1 meeting, if the british final was over a couple of meetings I think it'd be fine but anything can happen over 1 meeting. At worst Brennan is the 4th best British rider at the moment, good enough to be the GP wildcard and represent the country in the world cup but not good enough to get an attempt at qualifying for the GPs, seems a bit odd.

  41. I'll respectfully disagree, if they're good enough, should've finished ahead of Harris in the British final. Glasgow promotion will likely be pleased. You could argue Robert Lambert is the one "taking opportunities away" as he's almost guaranteed a wildcard if he doesn't finish in the GPs top 6! But he earned the right to choose.

  42. The GB picks appear to be in the order of British final positions, which is exactly how it should be imo. Robert Lambert (1st), Chris Harris (4th) Adam Ellis (5th) & Anders Rowe (6th) in qualifiers. Reserves Dan Thompson (7th) & Tom Brennan (11th). I'm guessing Wright (2nd) misses out through injury, Bewley (3rd) thinks he'll finish in the top 6 of the GPs & King (8th), Cook (9th) & Flint (10th) didn't want to be 2nd reserve?

  43. As I’ve pointed out on numerous occasions for god knows how many years with evidence of it, bikes today are in relative speed no faster than they were 40 years ago, what is considerably faster is the speed of the back wheel to the speed of the bike, when the bike is doing 50-60mph the back wheel is doing 80-100mph, hence the back tyres wear out in 5mins and the front tyre will last a season, it has been a problem for years but nobody especially riders and tuners want it addressed

  44. As of the 15th of this month, Rob Painter is no longer a Director. David Rodwell replaces.

  45. There are many reasons but for me, it's the constant search for speed, more speed, even greater speed than the last. Speedway globally should go for an engine reset & go down the standardised 'sealed units' route. Get rid of expensive 3rd party parts tuners.
