  1. Wonder if drug testers or fuel testers have shown up

  2. Lawson has been "unlucky" recently hasn't he?..... Seven day ban I presume...? Or will Donald Trump give "Arry a bell?...

  3. Lawson is great at working the system last week he was injured for 1day this week taken ill but I'm sure he will be feeling better in a day or 2. The other one he's used was he was waiting for a new passport to arrive 😂for a polish fixture i believe it's quite amusing really and sums up the state of British speedway that he gets away with it.

  4. Imagine if the sport was ran properly, with independent leadership in place..? All this nonsense simply wouldn't be allowed to take place and damage it.... Which is exactly why we will never have independent leadership, as everyone is happy to be complicit in making things up as and when they need to..

  5. I didn’t bother mentioning the jacuzzi as Norman and Kenny don’t like too many visitors when only in speedos

  6. This looks a little bit more hopeful for Coventry and the 'Bees'. Some (one) of the naysayers should be ashamed of themselves. Folk only want and hope for their Speedway to return, what is so very wrong with that? I live in Sunderland and have no skin in the game, but I would love Coventry to return to Speedway. Up The 'Bees'!!!!!

  7. Good job no pilots fixture this week, as it looks like a 7 day ban for Mr Lawson, did not turn up at Leicester tonight for Ipswich, alledgally turned round due to illness 🤔 or were the bike/dope testers waiting 🤔🤔😜

  8. I just feel there must be a contingency for if someone falls ill on the day? Even the no facility rule means you get a 75% guest, of course at short notice, Hodder is probably the best they could find anyway? I guess it's possible that would have counted as withholding hos services & he'd get a longer ban then? Shame he didn't have a Danish league match today, then he could have missesd both fixtures without picking up a ban & Witches could've used a guest 🤭

  9. A positive if cautious statement but given local elections etc and the speed that local authorities go at thats not surprising Lets hope that when they conclude these investigations the outcome will be positive

  11. Maybe a factor, but, for me, it's the huge drop off in the number of riders capable of holding down team places... Hence the majority DU just to provide 15 teams of the "desired" levels.. In the 70's, hundreds of lads tried to be Speedway riders, and "training schools" were the norm at many tracks... Now, so few come through, that the "old heads" actually keep the sport going..

  12. It is encouraging to see a council such as Rugby continuing to provide such support for this campaign. You can only imagine how different Speedway’s position would have been had Swindon and many other councils offered similar backing.

  13. Riders receive six month bans starting in October and ending in March... But only if the season starts in April... Independent Leadership anyone?...

  14. The 7 day suspension should stop that happening though? Mind you with fewer fixtures these days, riders probably won't miss much. What I don't get about the guest rules, lets say I suggest you shouldn't get a facility if a rider misses a match to race abroad, the response is normally "that will lower the crowd / it's not fair on the fans / it's not fair on the team" - but in an instance like this when no facility is allowed, all those reasons don't matter?

  15. I say this respectfully, i hope this is the case. He needs to learn a hard lesson. Hes a good rider. Imagine he took it seriously. How good would he be

  17. Don't disagree but hobsons choice when you don't have any competitors? Once again the sport has failed its customers.

  22. Is Greg watching the same incident. Jenkins lost control and feel Zagar wasn’t even close. Claiming he laid the bike down. Take your bandits specs off Greg. 😂

  23. Absolutely right, my point was will the organisers include him on merit even though many people still have negative feelings.

  25. Good to hear when I used to go Saturday nights I would say they averaged a thousand to 1,500 depending on the quality of the opposition.

  26. Thanks. Teams edited. Smederna should not have too many problems in extending their lead at the top.

  27. More the rumoured history of Zagar that people took umbrage with I think.

  28. Lots of Poles calling them out on a post of Zagar on twitter and they've moved to say they were just using images/clips to help raise profile on socials, they didn't have any say in participation as it was run by the FIM. Will see if I can find it again

  34. What amenities were you expecting from a 5th tier Scottish league stadium? A glass fronted hospitality suite, two bars, a food outlet, track shop, 1,400 seater grandstand, a fantastic viewing point on the 3rd bend. Passing never been prominent at Shielfield, but there was more passing last night than at Redcar the previous night.

  35. Good luck to Pedersen let’s see if he can grab his chance to impress. And good luck to Bangs too hope he gets fixed up in the Championship and rediscovers his true form. There’s no question he’s a much better rider than what we’ve seen.

  36. I’m not convinced they’re all different posters if you catch my drift 😉

  37. Agreed. He seems to make good decisions on the racetrack and is a decent gater..

  38. Simple solution. Increase the car park charge by £25.00 for that night, but give everyone who uses the car park a free ticket for the speedway that night.

  39. Leicester did the right thing, for the good of speedway of course, and handed the Foxes their only win of the season... the rest of you should hang your heads in shame 😁

  40. Sounds like a Swindon swiz to me... promise a track, get the stadium knocked down then pull the rug leaving Speedway high and dry!

  41. Benefit fraud is still dwarfed by tax evasion though so if you want to focus on money, look at those who evade tax by not declaring earnings etc. From t'internet "Yes, the total monetary value lost to tax fraud and evasion is significantly higher than the losses from benefit fraud in the UK. However, the government prosecutes far more people for benefit fraud."
