  1. Interview with Andrew Bain in this week’s star sounds positive, he plans to keep improving the track including fitting the flood lights. He said he is going to do his very best to make sure the comets are at the tapes next year. Fingers crossed he can make it work. No one wants to lose another team.

  2. Not everyone is the same though are they? Brennan held on, so did King. Plenty of others didn’t including Ellis and Doyle. And I don’t blame them or anyone else for not gambling on the takeover being completed. Riders have to put themselves first as they should. “They could have built a stronger team” well not really! Coleman has already explained this. Conversations WERE held with Doyle but they couldn’t offer him the guarantees he wanted and he gave up. Conversations were held with numerous GP riders, they all had their season planned. You have to cut them some slack they were severely up against it this year. If similar happens next season then criticism will be fair game. I’m confident that won’t be the case but actions speak louder than words. It took Louis how many years before landing a title? He even took us down a league for donkeys years and we couldn’t even win a raffle down there!

  3. The level of doubling up over here causes so many problems. The championship product can only continue in its current guise with the same level of doubling up. The championship clubs couldn’t afford to run at their current level without the riders earning another income via the premiership. If the premiership fails then the standard of the championship drops overnight costs rise & that’s the beginning of the end. For the sport to survive like it or not it’s needs a successful premiership & a two tier set up. An 8 team premiership properly ran with very little or no doubling up is a must. The gap between the tiers also needs to be widened. A mixture of needing to curb doubling up & the polish rules will see a different set up next season.

  4. Live near Barnsley and had zero rain to date and forecast for light showers, ridiculous call off

  5. That’s a good enough reason not to sign him.

  6. As a supporter of a team who aren't Glasgow, I personally couldn't give a hoot about what any rider who wears a Glasgow racesuit scores. But I do give a hoot about fans/supporters who constantly slag young riders off, because that is highly unlikely to turn their form around.

  7. The team was cobbled together a few weeks before the season started including a near 50 year old. It was never going to be in contention to be fair. Let’s see what next season brings when we get a fair crack of the whip.

  9. Called it spot on. Been raining heavy for at least the last hour. No chance this would've been on.

  10. It's not televised, so how can it be streamed? Unless you have a pal that's going to stand in the crowd and go on Facebook Live with each heat, it's going to be impossible to watch live. It may be possible to see it afterwards if someone videos it and uploads the heats to YouTube later. In that case, I will add it to the Polish and other Videos thread in the International section.

  13. Well Musielak has thrown his hat in to the 2027 ring. “ I have always loved the Ipswich track and the shape of it. I really enjoy racing at Foxhall. The fans are always kind and I feel their support” ” I don’t know about next year. I am always open to a conversation and would really love to see myself back at Foxhall” From today’s Star. Bless him, been superb this season. Someone else that would rather be at Ipswich than your club @Dornier 😛

  14. On a positive note. Well done and thank you to the bandits supporters club for the hard work organising travel and accommodation for the KOC final leg. Not only do we get the opportunity to see Berwick complete at the sharp end for silverware. We can see PK in his last Championship appearance. Well done BBSC

  15. Must admit i have been a bit disappointed with BSN this season, might just be me but feel there is no regular spacing between meetings, its literally all or nothing it feels. No doubt the price will go up next season and that would be the final nail for me and BSN.

  17. I hope the big boys in the PREM remember what happened last winter when the CHAMP Clubs got too big for their boots. Time for some sweet revenge this winter. CHAMP won't even have riders like Leon Flint and Dan Thompson in it let alone Josh Pickering and Zach Cook.

  18. Lynn’s hopes rest with Belle Vue, and I think their chances just increased with all due respect to Nicholls. Gamble.

  19. Tate? Bang average? One of the best young Aussie talents around who struggled last season after coming back from a horrific injury. This season he's pushed on and is one of, if not the best reserve in the prem. He's went away in the prem and put some very good numbers in. Don't discredit a rider because your team are awful

  22. Would think Kye will ride for Edinburgh though,it not a Premiership recognised race night. Its Kye that loses out unfortunately. Typical GB Speedway fixture planning.Shambles throughout the season.

  23. Wednesday has always been Pooles night. Sheffield is Monday or Thursday. Why should Championship give way to Elite league?

  24. With so few fixtures, they really shouldn't be moving the cut-off date.

  26. It looks like they do a decent job of things .. With not a great hand to play with given the sports operating model... Personally I watched a few meetings and decided it wasn't for me given I watch (proper sporting competition), from Poland on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and sometimes Thursday!), and Sweden on Tuesday's... Hopefully it is viable for both them and the teams....

  27. Given the forecast and the fact Lynn have said parade at 7:20, racing starting at 7:30 which is a rarity , I'd imagine you'll be fine

  28. I do hope you are not pointing the finger at BSN for your 'racing non existent' & 'keeping the dust down' & 'farce of guests' points? GP's can be a bit of a farce at times, and that happens to be the money end of the sport with the mighty FIM.

  29. Rain potentially from around 9pm on many forecasts Get a lead by heat 12 and pray for rain - negates Jason and Kurtz in 13 and 15 😁

  30. Think the shambles of the fixture list might have a lot to do with it,they committed to show 2 home meetings for each Club.Plus certain Clubs don’t want them on local derbys as it could effect their Attendance (so I have been told ).

  31. I'd love to see him back, he's a proper servant to British speedway better than some riders actually from the UK! Could Slater Lightcap from Poole slot in nicely at number 6? He might struggle a bit at the start of the season but he will be great by the end and has a fantastic future!

  34. There’s only you thinking they do ! Whilst I accept Glasgow are well known to pay above the norm in the championship, possibly to compensate their location , the rest pay what they can afford that’s why they are still running. Premiership is a small fish and that’s why Poole , Glasgow etc prefer championship as they keep their preferred race night and get double the fixtures.

  35. Oh, I'm happy to see speedway in Northampton and will go a few times a season as it stands now. But if there was one big league, with plenty of different opposition, I'd probably be there every week.

  36. Used to be yes, but not any longer which is no great surprise as the Danish final wasn’t on TV. You can however watch the semi and final on PPV through the clubs streaming platform.

  37. I was told that Godfrey and co trying to drag Workington up to the Premiership for 2027 with another track not sure who one though so 8 teams in Premiership next year, not sure if that is backed by Facenna money so they stop poking Glasgow (or to help British Speedway). Nothing confirmed just something a current Premiership rider had heard on the grapevine

  38. I gave it a go again but its been crap this season, too many tracks where the racing is non existent, too many tracks where they cant even get the basics right like keeping the dust down and it does not help when you have a certain presenters making excuses for the promoters and claiming that the racing has been great when clearly it has been far from it, and not too mention the farce of guests etc. Next season I will stick with watching the Polish Leagues and the Grand Prix.

  42. I always seem to be in the minority, but I think the RS rule is a good one & hope they keep it. By all means add it to the Champ, but not remove it from the Prem. I'll use Joe T as an example, would he have received as many chances if it wasn't for the RS scheme? It's taken him a few seasons, but now scoring good points in the Prem. Poland have rules for Polish reserves, Britain should do the same for British reserves. Regarding King's Lynn, I don't know why they're always so poor. They often look like they've got a powerhouse reserve but it doesn't happen, this year sign a superstar number one & a very promising Brit & success still doesn't happen.

  43. We should be supporting all clubs at this time not wishing that the championship is "finished". Poole and Glasgow didn't move up quite rightly because the 2 clubs who has done it the year before it had gone very badly for. When we get a Premiership that is attractive enough that teams want to move up they will. This could happen in 2027 but most likely if clubs see 2027 as a success they will move up in 2028. Poole and Glasgow are great clubs but they need to survive themselves. If both had been forced to go up last year and then gone bust we would be in a much worse position now.

  44. Refusal to put British Speedway first for start. Roles will be reversed from last winter, PREM Clubs will be the one's holding all the cards now to a point where CHAMP Clubs are the ones with a lot to lose. CHAMP is finished now, Heat Leaders will be offski with the Polish ruling and to make matters even worse for them, Kildemand and Nicholls are retiring as well.
