Ipswich Witches 2026

Could it be that they are waiting to have the Northampton situation concluded before slotting in the final 2

If as some think the likes of Lawson Wright etc are embarked to be there they would be available if the new venture doesn't proceed

Mid Feb, no concrete confirmation on how many clubs competing in the top tier and no idea (officially) who is behind the Ipswich take over. No signings either.

Its mental . People wonder why the sport is not taken seriously.

As I read elsewhere, this has been the worst close season I have ever known of. Absolute mess.

The posts I have read on Scunny signing a team over the limit just about sums the state of the sport up.

Doesn't have a massive hitter but it looks rock solid.

1. T. Brennan 7.05

2. R. Tungate 5.89

3. R. Lawson 6.81

4. D. King 6.50 or N. Klindt 6.46

5. T. Musielak 6.63

6. J. Thorssell 4.50

7. J. Edwards (RS)

= 36.98 / 36.94

That could be a good team Throssell should be geting double figures every week whilst at reserve, Tobi if he can get his head straight should do a job and same with Tungate if he can be bothered could be a trump card the other four solid and reliable.

Let's hope they can get a deal done with Thorssell

If Thorssell is a 4.50 then Jenkins has to be released imo....Even though I like the lad.

That's a ridiculous reduction for Jacob when his last GSA was 7.33.

Jacob Thorsell last achieved an average in 2019 and therefore we will reassess him to 4.50.

Robert Lambert last achieved an average in 2019 and therefore we will not reassess him to 4.50.

7.07-7.23 Left for a No.5 depending on the No.6.

Should go all out for Lawson 6.81 if building to win at Home, In 3 of his 4 visits to Foxhall last season, Richard put up (9), (11+1) and (13)

1. T. Brennan 7.05

2. S. Nicholls 5.25

3. T. Musielak 6.63

4. D. King 6.50

5.

6. J. Thorssell 4.50 / J. Jenkins 4.49 / J. Jeppesen 4.34

7. J. Edwards (RS)

I agree - almost as bonkers as Cooper on a 2 would be :P

100%.

Mayfield have potentially played a blinder here, Ipswich or Northampton will be laughing if a deal gets done.

Not saying he wouldn't do well but Thorsell had a lower average than Blodorn in Poland last season.

Tbf Thorsell is a steal if he comes in on a 4.50 average but i wouldn't get to carried away, i watched him during the SON for Sweden and yeah if he gated he was fine but if he didn't he didn't make much of a impression during the race, to me he's another Klindt, very much a gating tart, just my opinion obviously🤭

First is in the top 5 if you think about it. Unless you mean 2nd bottom

I think they meant guaranteed Top 5 finish (assuming 5 are guaranteed to take part).

King's Lynn fans have been delighted to be guaranteed Top 6/7 finishers for the last few seasons, because that's consistently higher than when there were more teams in the BL, Elite, Prem, etc. 😊

I think it's really been the best worst close season ever, even better than the Coventry/Peterborough fiasco, this close season started pretty early and has been the gift that has just kept on giving, it's kept me fully engaged with the forum throughout as I normally dip out during the close season, part of me will be sad to see it all finally resolved 😁
