Theirs a lot of talk that the tyres are not fit for purpose

That talks been around since they started using the tripe they are now. Not sure what they use in other countries though.

Think by the look of it the tyre could have burst or popped off the rim if he was  using the tubeless system these are running I think about 120psi to hold the tyre onto the rim before you put the tyre pressure into them

Got to feel for Bowes, a good win in his first heat, going up the inside of Masters down the back straight, a little untidy but a good win. Before making a good gate and leading for 3 laps before what seemed to be a nasty off. Could’ve been 6/6 but instead on way to hospital.

Rib and back pain is being mentioned.

PS it was announced at the end of meeting presentations that Fraser had texted from Poole Hospital that injuries did not appear as bad as first thought!

PPS Danny Ford apologised for the track conditions this evening - they put too much shale down and then overwatered.

Pity the track team didn't spot/sort the bump on turn one sooner, or even before the meeting started. Various riders including Lawson had issues before Fraser. Prior to the off Bowes was showing his doubters (mainly it seems from Workington) what he is capable of. I can see the potential, even if they can't, here's to a speedy recovery.

Good well deserved result, Master's really is far more flaky than the hype suggests, fast if he gates sure but doesn't like to mix it.

Bowes may have potential but had an attitude problem at worky last year. Which the fans and the management did not like.

Reading mr fords statement it seems put some dirt down and modern riders cant handle it !

The shape of the tracks determine whether "putting dirt down" works or not...

The more circular ones benefit from it, the more "oval" ones ride easier when slick and smooth, especially given the way riders go in to the bends already virtually full on sideways, and full gas, these days...

What this statement ? It was like a ploughed field.

“It has been a really challenging evening and I just want to say thank you so much to everyone. I’m really, really sorry for tonight. I’m so disappointed in what we put out there in terms of the track preparation. No excuses — we will put our hands up — we absolutely got it wrong. Full credit to the riders for doing what they could in racing in those conditions. Of course, we are sending our messages of support to Fraser, but yes, we are just really sorry and would ask you all to stick with us. We are going to get it sorted.”

Interestingly all the race times were on a par with this season's meetings.
