It might handicap them, but it won't bankrupt them. Expensive foreign imports nearly put the club out of business in its EL days. If it wasn't for Bob Dugard the club wouldn't be alive today.

I think the “track issues” at Poole should drop off the agenda now that Poole has: 1/ Taken remedial action. 2/ Are using a Bar Grader instead of the cow plop blade. 3/ Had the the track standard “audited” by an independent “expert”.

Criminal is the word i would use esp when u think it was left alone when not used between 1987 -1999, town board have alot to answer for, but as have said before hit them where it hurts in the pocket dont go to town games go to haven instead.

Maths not your strong point? Max points Poole could have scored was 7pts. We only got 3 at Ipswich! So the score is Poole 6pts from 7, Ipswich 1pts from 7.

neil basically done the track as normal ray, however following the referees report from the last home meeting complaints from two riders were followed up,the head honcho was going to be at poole but he sent his deputy who arrived wed, thought the track was good, he was there all day thurs observing and monitoring track prep, apparently he was more than pleased and gave track staff and track a big thumbs up,so well done to neil and the team

There seemed to be an increase in the numbers watching the meeting, I expect it to rise again against Belle Vue next week.

I would keep Ben Barker, might not be as good as Jason at the EWR but I think he is probably better on the away tracks. If Scunny are going to reach the play offs they are going to need to win away at least once more, Berwick and Birmingham are the best chances both tracks Barker would be handy at.

A good meeting to watch between 2 sides with good credentials this season. Some great racing, no falls and each side having one engine malfunction retirement - Josh and Heeps - so honours pretty much even except for the points. I just wish both teams had a full 1-7. What I don't understand is Hawkins now blaming referee decisions as the reason Ippo didn't get more than one away point?! The meeting ran smoothly, the ref only had to make a couple of decisions - once for King getting a huge roller and once for Pieszczek hitting the tapes. Very strange comments. I note Mr Louis is keeping quiet after his 'one loss doesn't make a season' comments last week. What is it now 3 losses on the bounce?! Good to hear that Richie Worrall has had the cast off and the clips taken out of his ankle. The surgeon reckoned 6 weeks after the op, so Richie is targetting the British Final on 29th as a possible return!! He is currently getting some salt water rehab down in Portugal I believe.

Have better things to do than sift through nineteen pages of garbage but I think both teams will be happy with the outcome, Ipswich’s form has dropped off a bit but plenty of time to regain momentum over the next couple of months before the Play Offs. Poole have coped admirably without Kurtz and I don’t think either team needs to fear anybody in the Play Offs, both capable of winning it if they have luck on their side. Will be interesting to see if another contender can gain momentum over the next 6-8 weeks and come through to win it.

I understand that after all the whinging from the KL team, buster offered to send one of his “experts” down to see how the track was prepared. Apparently he had no adverse comments about how the track was prepared for last nights meeting. So, that’s who the “extra” pair of hands may have been.

Only a matter of time before money came into the conversation I suppose . Listen carefully Geoff , we know you are anti Glasgow , we get that it's fine . But having 7 riders in one's team is a better option than r/r . And for this meeting Richard Lawson is the best option available . The fact he is riding for the opposition on Tuesday is irrelevant, he's done enough laps round Glasgow to know he's going to be a force to be reckoned with whether he rides tonight or not .

He's found tough most of the season, this is his normal 2019 form.

Hi Sid, it's actually an old article that appeared in Backtrack a couple of years ago. You've probably got it.

There is no doubt in my mind that as Neil and Ged have said that the original team was in budget, I also feel that as Neil told me personally both he and Ged intended to remain as promoters albeit with Buster as owner. Seems to me they were subsequently shafted and then I suspect betrayed by those that they had previously considered as friends. Despite not going public it speaks volumes that one of the biggest Panthers Fans both practically and financially has walked away.

Probably why over 40000 fans attend the Cardiff GP annually. 3 hours of entertainment, good facilties, and the ticket prices haven't increased for years.
