Wouldn't be speedway if no one found something to moan about . I like beer , gaps in proceedings allows me to get some , thanks Mr tractor driver8 points

Does no one talk to their friends or people standing next to them anymore. OK if it's raining I can understand why people want a quick meeting. But yesterday the weather was fine and there was plenty to talk about. Fans ask for more dirt and don't want dust but then don't want delays when it needs graded or watered.6 points

There was definitely one dodgy call for me, possibly two. The possible one, was the call back when Lynn were on a clear 1-5. I had a seat in the stand so if I’d have stayed there would have had a better idea, but I needed a Jimmy Riddle and walked across to the gents and watched the race from a head on view from the tapes. Did Klindt jump? Difficult to tell from where I was but looked like an even split and if he did jump, the red flags came out very late!! Boos from the Lynn fans and I don’t blame them. Second one was Brennan. Saw that one close up and he definitely spun and went down on his own and should have been excluded. No way was that an all four back.5 points

It was £27 to sit (£25 to stand) at Belle Vue earlier today so tonight is £3 or £5 more to watch 15 more heats if both Sheffield and Belle Vue junior teams, don’t see why Belle Vue fans should be whinging about that4 points

Good for you, but that’s just you isn’t it and not everyone thinks the same way obviously. I’m not interested in watching the junior racing either, not in the slightest. No need to get all upperty and look down your nose at those that aren’t interested in it. Judging by the non existent crowds at NDL level I’d say you’re in a tiny minority. saying “do you really follow speedway at all or are even interested in it” just because you’re not interested in watching the junior races is bloody daft.4 points

The meeting ran fine, the delay was due to Dayle Wood needing the paramedics in the pits after his crash4 points

I said on another thread the other day that the daytime meetings often lead to slick tracks and a lack of home advantage at Foxhall and many other teams fans scoffed at the idea kings Lynn would be our closest challenger at home so far this season, took a while but the boys got themselves in front for a comfy win in the end. be interested to know how much extra revenue a bank holiday meeting brings on the gate and whether it’s still of value to run them as we get decent crowds on Thursday nights and the daytime meetings the track is always tough to keep the moisture in the material to provide grip and a dirt line3 points
-
Daytime meetings in the UK are a waste of space. Never ever remember a good one in a lot of years watching speedway.   The track “material “ just doesn’t hold the moisture. It’s either a dust bowl or verging on waterlogged ( like Landshut SGP)3 points

I can't believe our luck for the comets to get vinnie.hes gonna be outstanding around northside arena and defo a home fans favourite.just wish the so called experts on here would stop jumping on every racing incident he's involved in and making it out worse than it really is.3 points
-
Which is fine if you want to watch it, if not you’re getting £30 for one meeting which is absolutely awful value. Especially for those Belle Vue fans who are potentially wanting to get home.3 points

I think Joe or Nathan Ablitt are the best options available but have a feeling that Bomber will convince Kings Lynn to give Ashton more time . i think probably would do Ashton good to ride NDL instead of Premiership to get some confidence back2 points

That sounds worrying. What tone did he make the statement in?2 points

Jesus H any chance of discussing the actual meeting! - Aces clearly need to improve they just squeezed past the Tigers and they looked poor away tonight at Owlerton2 points

Quite devastating I know...... The Aces will bring their legend Robert Lambert back to replace Mulford come August... (If Sheffield don't nab him first)...2 points

I've heard it said that a daytime summer meeting, needs water the day before, and starting again at around 4am as needed on race day to keep the moisture in the track. Not an easy task to get in right i'd imagine.2 points

Oxford should have won the first match by more (Cook only given 4 rides) so if they don't get the bonus point TM to blame. I think they should be able to win the second leg too, but that may depend on Schroeck as much as the riders.2 points

No tac subs allowed in heat 8. It seems Musielak keeps getting used for tac subs even when he's not the best rider in the match.2 points

Is he better or worse than Artem Laguta?2 points

I must say, first time I’ve logged into BV TV as a witches fan, this is a highly impressive set with even the laps and time intervals. This is the best I’ve come across and even better than BSN. Kudos to the BV team who set this up!2 points

There will be an awful lot who’ll leave straight after the meeting, despite having “paid” to watch the junior racing. Still think/hope enough stay behind for the youngsters sake though so they get to race in front of a larger crowd than they are used to. Can’t blame anyone for leaving after the main meeting though. Couple of hours is more than enough for most.2 points

yes it’s very good quality, they have a studio with presenter, 2 people on commentary 4 cameras on the track and 3 cameras in pits2 points

In theory Hagon should be far too strong for the NL/NT. He had a 10+ NL average last year & the league has weakened considerably. With a 4+ Champ average, I commend him for leaving the development leagues behind. His slow start to the season would not normally be a massive concern while he was at reserve, it would be fair to believe he'll come good, but riding at number 3 is a big ask.2 points
-
There is also the point that people are being forced to pay £30 even if they want to leave after heat 15 of the main meeting.2 points
-
Dayles medical attention was largely covered by taking the interval much earlier so it was only a minor contributor to the longer time taken to run the meeting. It probably didn't seem so long for you as you had so many cakes etc to eat!2 points

It reminds of what Dimitri Berge was like when he came back from the injury he suffered (can't remember what it was) when he was with us. So maybe......it could be coached out of him, but from what i've seen so far, and also going back to watch him riding for Oxford on YT everything everyone is saying is on the mark, gates and flies off into the distance, or misses it and then just can't/won't/or unable to mix it when the chance arises2 points

The Tigers have won three from three away from home so far this season.2 points

I can see boughen quitting speedway for a while,he needs time out and a reboot imo.2 points

That is a total insult. A lot of the riders, learn the Plymouth track. It's a technical track,it's a track of skill !! Most tracks these days are gate, open up and go. That's not racing. Plymouth is an old fashioned style riders track. If a lot of riders can't learn the art of proper speedway riding,we'll,that's their problem not Plymouths !!2 points

A bank-holiday double-header for two teams in desperate need of points. The first meeting is at Oxford (1pm), with the return leg in Birmingham (7.30pm). Both fixtures can be streamed online, Oxford are charging £13.99 for their home fixture, whilst Birmingham are charging £12.99. Michael Jepsen Jensen scored 16 points in Poland on Sunday, Birmingham will need him at his very best on Monday. Maciej Janowski also had a good meeting for Wroclaw, so Oxford will be hoping "Magic" turns up. Cook at reserve will be interesting, he could be a trump card, or a massive let down. Teams Oxford: Janowski, Riss, Wright, Kildemand, Tungate, Cook and Kileen Brummies: Musielak, Castagna, Jeppesen, Rew, Jepsen Jensen, Hume and Edwards My Prediction Oxford Spires 43-47 Birmingham Brummies Birmingham Brummies 49-41 Oxford Spires Top Scorer: Jepsen Jensen - 25 points across both fixtures.1 point

Yep it looks like the track caught the Ippo boys out early doors. A bit disappointing to be six up and not push them closer but that's a pretty good effort really as they are so strong 1-7.1 point

The track caught the Ippo boys out early doors, i'd say. Sounds like the track man was caught out by the weather as well, crap track apparently.1 point

Lemon was quick to drop Mountain last season wonder if he’ll be as quick dropping an Aussie in Zischke? He looked poor for Workington on Saturday and even worse today, if the outside line doesn’t work he looks lost. For me Belle Vue need to change it at number 6 now and can always bring Zischke back in later in the season if he regains some form in the Championship1 point

Ippo will come on strong at the back end of the meeting for the win.1 point

I see it as the opposite actually I think 30 quid for 2 meetings is good value for fans. The NDL riders are raw but will provide some entertainment1 point

Yes he's a rider who is awesome in Poland & average in Britain.1 point

Sweating my @rse off sitting in stand when Sun pops out but when it disappears behind clouds it’s cold 😂1 point

It would be a massive departure from the norm for The Aces to drop a rider, especially so early in the season. We don’t need to anyway as essentially we only need more league points than Kings Lynn to make the play offs and this current team should do that. Once there, anything can happen as we know only too well to our cost in 2021 & 2023.1 point

Do you know who Michael Jepsen Jensen is?1 point

Good meeting with an excellent finale but took far too long to run at over 2 hours. Boughen already looks likes he needs a spell at reserve which he's not going to get.1 point

Good point. As is often the case, this news has dribbled out in a column in the Star. Fair play to Dick for his scoop. Thanks for uncovering this secret. However, surely such a huge change was worthy of a BSPL statement.1 point

But he’s not? And that was quite clear for all to see. I could say I’m fit to ride, for everyone’s sake I’d hope Dickson wouldn’t put me at 3 though.1 point
