Well done to Cooper he is the real deal and terrific personality, comes over well for one so young.Ace needs to stop looking round to see where the rider behind is,it was a50/50 call in-the final .IM0 Cairns went in hard and fast but he held his line Ace tried to keep on the inside but he was too late.He seems too want to go fighting with everyone .His temperament is suspect. Not good in this sport.Jordy Loftus is a talent and stylish. Having not seen him ride before I was with Ollie Binns.

Jason is nearly a point under Dan and Dan’s CMA is 1-2 points under his actual 2026 Speedway Star figure so whatever we do it’s no kind of replacement. Looking at final 2025 figures, Jaimon is marginally higher than Jason so if Northampton agreed we could have Jaimon and they could have Jason. A GP man lining up for them might produce a bit of press and we could keep our family intact rather than sign a journey man.

Only saw it on YT but there did seem to be a Zmarzlik sized opportunity to dive bomb into turn three... Cairns took that chance and, given the one camera angle from his side of the track, looked like he may have got passed without touching Piper... Either way, good to see someone prepared to take racing risks...

I feel like both nights were the opposite to each other personally. Friday started off electric and gradually weakened until it finished, whereas Saturday started slower and ramped up to an epic final. If I were given the choice I would choose Saturday as a brilliant final leaves a better taste in the mouth.

I agree that Cairns did not 'torpedo' Ace, but he did knock him down and deserved the exclusion. I thought Ace's reaction was a bit over the top. I think it was more down to the fact that he didn't win the title on his home track. Got out-gated and frustration boiled over once he bit the dirt. Will is certainly a marmite character, of that there's no doubt.

Irrespective of many people not being able to watch due to technical difficulties, they should think themselves lucky as they did not have to endure the abysmal camera coverage and woeful commentary. Only when replays of the races were shown from different angles could you appreciate any race as then you could see what was happening. Do not even go their with the commentary. As many have already posted, BSN leaves a lot to be desired even if it is the last stand TV coverage.

The Speedway fraternity is a moaning lot (I'm not averse to a little moan myself now and again), but the organisers of this event bent over backwards to try and placate the bunch of moaners that the British Speedway fans are... They setup no air horn zones because people complained it was too noisy, they slashed the ticket prices because people complained they were too expensive, they altered the start time to enable people to travel back after the meeting because people complained about the hotel prices, they improved the track (they actually did from the early years) because people moaned the racing was not up to muster... eventually they came to the conclusion, "what's the bloody point", and quite rightly so from their point of view.

If it was me I’d have guests at the NSS (mostly Jaimon) and RR away as nobody cares about away meetings and it will save us a bob or two to spend on a decent signing for the last five days of our qualification campaign. A top GP man might come over for those last few days before the play offs and then it’s all to play for. For RR away I’d run Peter, Brady, Brady, (one a TS), Zach & Zach (15). That should allow us to keep losses close then use our massive home track advantage* to secure bonus points. *Copy write BSF

All these expert analysists who weren’t even at the meeting. The view from up above the entrance to the third bend showed that Cairns went for a gap that wasn’t going to be there for long and clearly took out Pijpers front wheel, not on purpose, just youthful enthusiasm, but it did happen.

Yes, I miss the World Final, a 20 heat event (with run-offs where needed). And I miss all the qualifying rounds, virtually every track, then the national finals and international qualifiers too. And I miss the Empire Stadium. New Wembley does nothing for me. No doozledogs!

EVERY meeting should have some junior racing incorporated into it.... The old Scottish Junior League structure would do if they wanted to make "teams".... Track time being the gain, rather than money being made... That can come later when progression happens...

Ex riders, and sponsors of riders who take over clubs, are, in the main, the ones who provide the sport.... They are too close to the sport and know nothing other than what has gone before, therefore, do pretty much, exactly the same.. The raw material of a fast, high octane, colourful, exciting sport, all done in a minute so perfect for modern day attention spans, is clearly something that has potential to be exploited. However, white, middle aged males, with almost zero marketing, media and entrepreneurial skills, certainly need some people working with them who do possess those skills...

Cardiff was no Wembley was it?... The racing isn't as good as it used to be is it?... The riders of today are not as good as their counterparts of yesteryear are they?... Etc. Etc. Etc ..

It is very much a "UK Speedway thing" isn't it... Your comments will no doubt generate plenty of "what do you expect?", or "we should be lucky they cover the sport"... Fans are now conditioned to make allowances for UK Speedway... The reality of course is that so much of what UK Speedway delivers is down to an absence of any defined "Quality Control"... Phil Morris had the amazing ideas to start meetings on time, have a 2 min clock visible to fans, had those coloured helmet starting mats, and told tracks to make the centre greens look good with the sponsors clearly displayed... Imagine needing someone to tell you that?.. Amazing that so much off track mediocrity is delivered by the very people who wouldn't be too pleased if the lads on track delivered the same..

Surely, it's simple economics with the East Stand, with back of the fag packet workings if the East Stand holds 2,000 and costs £500,000 that adds £25 per ticket to a crowd of 6,500 per night, if it's run over 1 night, £50, that means my South Stand ticket this year would have been more like £100 instead of the £64.50 it actually was. When my last Cardiff ticket cost me £23 and I can go to any meeting at the NSS and watch Speedway of the highest standard for £25 do I want to pay £100 to watch a GP round, possibly in the rain, in the slums of Manchester (😉) with riders who can't even be @rsed to acknowledge the crowd 🤔

When you say better temperament, I take it you're talking about Lee? Mick Lee, at 16, finished his first season at Boston with an average of 9.13. The following year (17), he finished the season with an average of 9.22 in the British League Division One, which, imo, was the hardest league in the world at the time. He was also the British U21 champion that year. Following season (18), topped the averages in the British League with an average of 10.64. Also won the senior British Final and was part of England's winning World Team Cup, and made his 1st world final. Cooper is a great talent, but a bit premature to say he's the next Mark Loram or Mick Lee, imo.

23 races done in 2 hours at Manchester on Friday and Saturday (with riders using a new tyre for every race)... couldn't believe they didn't have a kids race though 😉

from someone who has been to most British GP's...from Wembley, Cardiif, Belle Vue etc....none of them come close to what we are being served up right now, none of them. Instead of people trying to find faults with the last two nights of racing, try and draw on the positives. I for one loved both nights, admittedly I only went to the last night meeting but the atmosphere was very good, the racing was good and dare i say the whole event was run well. Only thing missing was a British rider on the rostrum but the racing made up for that. Cannot wait for next years two rounds at Belle Vue.

Cardiff might not take Manchester close on the track and racing, that i get is a major factor...But Cardiff was such a better venue, Stadium right next to the City, atmosphere was always good, Manchester for Atmosphere alone offers nothing, and it's just not the same build up over the weekend. I understand( Well i think i do) why it's in Manchester now, but if you could put Manchester's track inside Cardiff, that would be perfect. I would love it to return to Cardiff, but i know it wont ever come to that, but the whole experience for me at Manchester is very flat, hence why for the 1st time in years no UK GP for me this year, the actual sub standard field doesn't help, with so many injuries, and some rider's careers coming to an end, but at least the races Wornya were in last night were certainly exciting and brilliant to see Max Fricke finally come to the party at a GP and win it quite comfortably in the end after a poor 1st heat. Let's see what tonight brings...Weather Permitting

Yes, I miss one off 20 heat individual meetings.PERIOD. this modern nonsense of semi finals and last chance race offs with riders who finish 8th then "winning " the meeting have spread like an epidemic to all levels of individual meetings, wherever they are staged. .

The 'one off' World Final. Nothing better - discuss. I attended both, and, for me there is no comparison.

Will was sitting in last place and knew that Cooper was away and gone with no chance of catching him. A place on the rostrum was better than 4th and so he had to go for the gap that Pijper had left. If he got through he got third. If he failed it would have been the same as where he was before he went for it. Logic says go for it. He nearly pulled it off but not quite. He did catch Pijper wheel so was rightly excluded but it almost came off. The reaction from Pijper though was ridiculous, and frankly, totally expected knowing his personality. He nearly always likes to throw a hissy fit in a meeting. First tantrum when it looked like his mechanic didn’t put fuel in his bike, then a second when he was taken out. He will soon discover someone bigger and tougher will knock him spark out if he comes charging up to the wrong person who won’t take that behaviour. His pit crew were just as bad.

Agree Friday semi and final spoilt by the rain but I feel overall slightly better on Friday but I’m nitpicking both nights were very good

BSN, i had pictures that were pixalating when the racing was in full flow, i know they mentioned it during the meeting so were aware of the issue. Racing and presentation of the meeting, far too long to run a meeting, track looked awful and a number of riders looked out of shape on it!. I thought Rushen, Cairns, Scott, Loftus, Perry, Foord, Pijper all looked good.....regarding Pijper he will soon learn when having an engine failure you just don't "dump" the bike on the track for your mechanic to pick up, right there right then showed a poor attitude, only something small but stood out a mile.

I wouldn't imagine anything. He most likely left because there wasn't a guarantee the Witches would come to tapes in 2026 at the time. Personally if I was a witches fan I'd be happy to see my old number one back in the UK regardless of who it was for

Watched the last SON from the top of the Monster rig situated there... (Thanks Monster Joe, free food and bar for two days!!!).. And seeing the riders fly down the straight, and cut across each other, at full speed, at the last moment on that third turn, is incredible to see...

Imo cairns seems to think he is a lot better than he is, if he gates will win, but if he misses the gate he struggles to pass, or if he does it's reckless, daddy's money won't help him passing other riders though 😜

I do think going back to 6/7 rounds makes more sense. I'm also still not sure why we have two consecutive GP's in Manchester either, so the idea of having one in London if we need to have two would be more interesting.

It's almost the perfect venue, it's the right shape for starters, it's in London, placed in a better location than Wembley, really easy to get to, with a lower capacity than Wembley & Cardiff. The reasons why not, there's only 14 operational tracks in the UK these days, when BSI took the "gamble" of taking the British GP to Cardiff in 2001 there were at least 24 operational tracks in the UK. Brandon was selling out at about 12,000 (with a lot of Poles attending) and the move to Cardiff really did spark a boom in the whole GP series with more rounds being introduced and also rounds being held in "destination" cities, there'd be no Copenhagen, Ullevi, Stockholm, Warsaw etc without Cardiff but they're all gone now. Maybe they need to go backwards in order to move forwards and reduce the number of rounds back to 6 or 7 at more prestige city destinations... oh and there's no roof 😁

He's not ready to be a Premiership number 1, he's averaging 6.49 this season but bizarrely his GSA has increased from 7.05 to 7.49! Musielak averaging 8, rolling GSA 6.40 Something ain't right with the way they're working these averages out!

Just got home myself, took my daughter to this meeting for the first time, don’t think she’ll be back. We were on the back straight and got covered in dust. She went to the portaloo but came straight back saying it was “disgusting”. We moved to the home straight stand which was a decent view but she struggled with identifying riders and the inaccurate announcing didn’t help her trying to fill in the programme. Sent her for food and she missed several races and said she was bored watching the tractors. Guess it’s just us oldies who think all this is acceptable. Some good racing and the right rider won although I’m not a fan of refereeing by VAR !

Hopefully they'll be inspired more than traumatised 👍🏻 I don't think we want new faces for new faces sake, we just want the best faces. Don't forget Bewley and Holder got their spots thanks to the ban of the Russians and they weren't really at the level they're at now (obvs) but grabbed their chance with both hands.

Definitely a rider in there.... Slow burner but isn't fazed racing with the top riders.

People moaning about Cooper turning left need to be at the GP tonight.Zmarzlik and Woryna turn left very early when it stops riders from getting inside them.
