  1. If and when Jason comes back there wont be a single person boycotting any track, It's all talk. Give the bloke a chance. Its more likely the attendances will go up to see how he performs.

  4. Surprised the amount of posters naming Rushen into your line ups. i cant see him leaving Lynn

  5. But still, I think he will ride. And win or lose he is part of the team and I’d rather we have this meeting without guests.

  6. As Freddie has finished in the top 5 for 8 consecutive seasons (prior to his injury hit 2026), I think he really should get one of the last spots (along with Bewley).

  9. I'm all in on Janowski at this moment in time. He doesn't mess Clubs about and he always makes the effort to turn up, With Wroclaw being involved with the Witches you'd think he'd be on the best kit possible as well. Unless Mayfield are willing to pay Keynan Rew No.1 money, I don't see a better option than Magic on a 6.06. Like Musielak this year, Magic's GSA holds massive value with potential to increase it by at least a point imo.

  10. Well, if the shoe fits, Arthur. You’ve had a cheating incident as recently as your last meeting. You’ve also got a Rushen riding for you. No-one else has been allowed one since the Ukraine war.

  11. If that’s the case, we need to throw a Neymar-like deal at him. And by that, I mean we do what Barca did and send a lap dancer to his dad’s house at least one every week. @phillwhitewasmad Don’t worry, we’ve got you.

  12. Can't say I'm thrilled at all on this pick.....definitely "washed up" now for lack of a better definition. All I can assume is Poland dug their spurs in someone and made it a Pole.

  13. So, blood sweat and tears from March to October ends with this. they been the best 2 teams in the play offs, and this promises to be a good competitive close final over the 2 legs. we will be hoping to keep it within 10-12 points and that will set up a very tasty final on Monday. this atmosphere is always feisty for a war of the roses match but it will be stepped up a notch for a final, cant wait for this, id say its 50/50

  15. Would that be because other countries sort their acts out, get riders signed and fixtures organised sometimes months before Britian can sort out even which teams are actually running ! Wright has been very loyal to Redcar turning down more lucrative moves as he rides where he enjoys it and hasnt chased the £ signs in the past so cant begrudge him chasing the big bucks in Poland in the time he has left .

  16. I'd say the chances of that are extremely slim.

  20. Speedway rider Cooper Rushen lives in Essex, England. [1, 2] Background Details Hometown Origin: Born in Colchester and raised in Essex, where he was homeschooled to accommodate his busy racing schedule. 😉

  22. Another reason why I'm high on Magic is because of how many riders that featured in the last Spires side who have gone on to have good seasons. Maybe it was Oxford who were the problem all along?

  23. A good point and hopefully true. I hope I’m wrong, but I think the stage is set for an absolute borefest. The line-up is filled with talent, but given the deficit from the first leg, Poole won’t risk going toe-to-toe racing with Scunthorpe. The second leg of last season’s play-off final where Poole secured the title at Ashfield was one of the best meetings I’ve ever been to. Those unfortunate enough to remember the first leg at will recall Freddy Hodder’s pass of Paul Starke on the line in heat two was the only pass that happened beyond the first lap in the entire evening.

  25. I'd be pinning that up in the Scunny dressing room if I were David Howe! Will certainly make things interesting if the weather means a different-to-normal track.

  26. Must have been that dodgy collarbone. Desperate move from Scunthorpe to be honest. The forecast is for rain to clear away by lunchtime to leave a sunny afternoon. Perfect for the track.

  27. Not sure why I had 7.27 in my head. I agree totally and why I’m puzzled at some of the comments particularly on Facebook when it comes to next years Team. Some of the suggestions on there you’d need a 50 points limit, others are frustrating because I know a fair few of them and they’ve been going so long that they SHOULD know how team building works in terms of averages. Some don’t even bother to look at the figures and just go “Sign Musielak and King next year because they’ve been great this year” Yes, they have indeed but that’s exactly why you DON’T sign them. They’ve maxed out their averages. Sign those two and you’ve got your second and third heatleader already. Do fans want to win the title again or not? In the words of Coleman “We’re not there to make up the numbers”. Whoever we manage to get as a number 1, our biggest rival (amongst others) will be Belle Vue who will no doubt retain Kurtz and Bewley. Musielak just isn’t on their level however you slice it so we’ll always be at a disadvantage going in to the crucial last few heats. We won our title with Doyle and Emil. We only really started seriously competing when we signed them. Belle Vue have been there or thereabouts, with Kurtz and Bewley. Sheffield been there with Jack Holder, but he was backed up by a stronger second and third heatleader in C Holder and Pickering. You ain’t winning a Premiership title with Musielak and King as two of your Three heatleaders.

  28. He has been a good servant to the Bears, but agree regarding signing him.GB needs to sort out these rider contracts before signing riders that miss meetings due to foreign league commitments, its beyond a joke now .Fans pay to see their Team on the track.

  29. There is the proof that until his identity was known he was merely plying his trade and entertaining people with his skill set.( if he was bricklayer would you not allow him to build your garden wall ) IMO people have the option to vote with their feet but surely not cut your nose off to spite your face .

  30. If Ipswich is hosting the British GP, the “National Stadium” title for Belle Vue is hard to justify. Major finals could also be spread around more.

  31. Imagine if somebody said to you in 2010 that Emil Sayfutdinov and Darcy Ward will never win a World Championship. You would have bet your life on that not happening. We lost Darcy due to a tragic accident. And Emil missed a few years as he was part of the SEC and he was being paid a lot of money, and now he is a victim of politics. In another world, Emil and Ward would have multiple world titles.

  34. What’s the script for team building, like who actually puts the team together; the manager or the owners? I’d be interested in knowing how riders are approached too, given there are no agents. Do clubs have dedicated “recruiters” who approach riders? First thing I’d be doing for 2027 is finding a new DJ.

  35. I’d take Kowalski from Wroclaw as a punt in the main body and Mikkel Anderson for the other under 21 rider along with Cooper for the British under 21 rider. Try everything to get Emil back as a 1 with Tobi as a 5 and fit either Brennan Ellis or King in amongst it, have no clue what averages that would add up to but would be a different and decent team with some new interest mixed with a “witches feel” team to it.

  36. Went on Saturday and thoughly enjoyed the meeting, track was fast and smooth and the riders gave it there all in every race. It was the biggest crowd for a meeting I have seen for years outside of the SGP's, which goes to show how Tai is respected and loved by all. Have a happy retirement Tai and enjoy whatever you get up to in it. 🙂 Got a couple of questions as in who was the man on the mike? I had never heard him before but I feel he needs to be employed at a few other tracks to liven up the crowds. Second question is regarding the food outlets, and who tried them? We looked at them and plumped for the salt and pepper chicken which we found hot spicy and delicious, are these outlets open at a normal Northampton meeting? (it was 5 star dining in a foil bag compared to what is offered at Sheffield)

  37. A while ago after a meeting at Sheffield a rider came out onto the track for a few practise laps, rider looked smart with kelvers and bike in the same colours. The rider looked fast and smooth and the people staying behind were interested until it became clear that the rider was Garrity where upon the majority of those watching turned away from the track and headed out towards the exit. Maybe that highlights the feelings that many fans have for the man.

  43. If true makes a TV deal less likely unless they've got Glasgow interested. It makes sense for them though they need to have successful seasons in the championship before they move up again.

  45. Nothing wrong with the team that was picked, just the way it performed. Could maybe question the Paco/Jenkins signings as they never worked out but the team failed because Fricke's average dropped alarmingly and he never looked comfortable at Lynn, and because Cook & Kvech failed to kick on. The promotion need to find out why those things happened.

  46. From Today’s Star Track: Ipswich chairman Richard Coleman has big plans for Foxhall’s first ever SGP event and he admits that it begins with delivering track improvements. ”In 2027 , to have the biggest Speedway event that has ever been held at Foxhall is going to be quite something. It’s really important for Ipswich, the club, the Town, and the wider Suffolk region. We are already getting a lot of engagement from local businesses and projects that want to be involved. Hopefully we can deliver a great event next year”. ”What this does, is it allows us to spend money on the track that would be hard to justify just for club events. We want to get the racing to a very high standard at Foxhall, so we’re going to be making a lot of changes to the track surface. ”We’re going to change the shape a little bit, change the camber and improve the whole racing element of it”. ”To those asking questions about the track, I say reserve your judgment. The Foxhall track that you see today, will not be the Foxhall that you’ll see at the GP next year”.

  47. I have no problems with Ipswich staging a GP at all. Quite refreshing in actual fact. I was never a fan of the two GP's back to back at BV, I understand the lack of capacity and cost element etc but thought it was a bit daft. Admittedly, the track is awesome though. Ipswich has a much bigger capacity and hopefully will be a sell out. I'm sure those in charge will do the work that needs to be done. People are saying it's in the sticks/middle of nowhere but aren't the Swedish locations similar? A great climax to this year's GP series but generally the whole thing has become stale and any new track like Ipswich or Glasgow should be welcomed to mix things up and rekindle interest.

  49. The centre green is being lowered by 600mm with new drainage and the inside of the track lowered by the same amount to give much better banking. obviously the majority of the track will be removed to allow for a much lower sub base and then a new shale surface will go in replacing the awful clay surface. spedeworth are demolishing the existing home straight stand and replacing it with a three tier building right up to the first bend. At a cost of £1.75 million. There will be a tunnel through the stand to enter the track. new pits area as current ones will be in the way of the new lengthened stand. But like you say minimal track changes. 😆

  50. Been looking at this years away results. Remove Berwick in the ko cup and Poole in the league, in all the others comets got 40 points or more and most meetings went to a last year decider, which I think is a good effort, often it was the home form that cost us, 2 big defeats against Poole and Glasgow, and a couple of more poor performances, cost us the bonus points, also apparently we never had our same team in any home meeting . So we were not far off a decent team this year. Personally I witnessed many good away performances and last year deciders, not gonna mention Poole or Berwick in the cup 😒. As for next season, would like batch back, but maybe going south, Tate zischke is a must, Jonas did a good job, but depends on polish fixtures whether he would like a return . No issues in bringing Vinnie and Max back but Vinnie needs to sort out his machinery. For me kemp is too inconsistent and poor machinery. Let's all wait and see what the promotion brings to the GT tyres Northside arena, a lot could depend on budget, as we know the crowds need to be better, hopefully under lights at 7pm may help
