What a fantastic gesture from the club and riders involved 👏

Never knew Anne but she was always noticeable wearing her Lions race suit.

Condolences to her family and friends.

Another cracking Vlog from Dan T....

You really see the unconventional lifestyle these lads lead..

And the costs involved, especially when your van blows up!!!.

Interesting he mentioned the need to lose weight, especially for Poland..

He must weigh the size of one of my legs..:D

Just needs a season of no injuries and he could become a true top level rider, as he definitely has a capability level higher than most...

If you haven't seen his Vlogs on YouTube yet, then give them a go...

He did say others are now doing the same?...

The more exposure for the sport the better....

LEICESTER and Glasgow racer Kyle Howarth has informed his clubs that he will be taking time out of the sport with immediate effect.

The 2015 British Under-21 Champion has endured a tough season so far punctuated by niggling injuries and illness.

The Lions have already stated they hope to have a new signing in place by early next month, although their first priority is arranging cover for Thursday’s KO Cup Final against Ipswich.

Co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: “Kyle has spoken to me and has been honest and upfront that he’s not really enjoying his speedway at present, and he is taking a break from the sport.

“He is a rider who always wears his heart on his sleeve and we actually spoke a couple of weeks back, because I had an indication that he hasn’t been enjoying his racing this season as much as in previous years.

“We accept his reasons and he leaves with our best wishes to him, his Dad and his mechanic Sharpy who have been a pleasure to work with these last few years.”

Meanwhile Glasgow’s next fixture is their local derby clash at home to Edinburgh on Friday.

Like ive said on the championship section - all reports from clubs and promotion are "taking time away".

Kyle's own post suggests he could be done for good. No indication given of a return.

Money and injuries maybe has come into this decision for Kyle. All the best to him.

Limited options for Leicester now. Jonas Jeppesen?

If Jonas fits he would be a good replacement. I’m still surprised he hasn’t had a permanent premiership place this season. He is fast and knows how to overtake. I really enjoyed watching him at Berwick last year. And he has been doing very well as a comet this year.

Yeah Jonas fits, I think he would be a good signing for Leicester.

He has said that he has not enjoyed his racing for a while and is stepping away with immediate effect to spend more time with his family. A sad loss to the sport in this country and I am sure many on this forum wish him well in whatever he decides to do.

Agreed he's exactly the kind of rider we need to be holding onto especially if the poles turn the screw in 2027, I didn't think he was having to bad a season this year, as other have said hopefully if he has a break he will come back fresher in 2027.

Sorry to see him go, to give credit sometimes if your heart isn't in it then its right to make that decision rather than try to soldier on! A great career in many ways won many things - fair play to him! Some times the hardest decision in any career is timing the exit!

Will Leicester seek to bring in some better support for the magnificent Douglas, and at least try to provide better opposition to Belle Vue and Sheffield, or will they hold onto hopes that Masters can somehow regain his ability to be a consistent heat leader?

Or, have they already accepted their fate and fulfill the remainder of their season, even if it does extend as far as the "grand final"?.

Not a bad decision by TNT to give this season a miss. Even Craig Doyle would struggle to sell it to potential viewers.
