have they put anymore dirt down or just dragged everything back.?

Don’t know but Andy Meredith is the master and he will have done what’s best, takes no notice of Phil Morris etc.

It's not filling the stadiums though is it?

Maybe not, but still circa seven figures in takings isn't too shabby for a sport with such a small following....

In other news...

There cannot be many better places to watch Speedway racing than the entrance to bend three at the NSS....

The speed they hit it, and your close proximity to the racing, means you can truly appreciate the talents and reactions of these lads...

So many races are won and lost at that turn, either by a dive bomb or the outside rider cutting off the rider flying up the inside...

Brilliant to see...

They should put a lower down camera there..

Right decision but why the cheers? Odd behaviour.

The cheer was when the yellow exclusion light came on.

Obviously who was at fault but I think much of the crowd were expecting the ref to take the easy option and call all 4 back

I not a BZ fan...but what he was doing last night was beyond normal. I am so glad he not a consistantly good gater

Last night he scored 13 points - 7 of them from the back.

Some riders don't make that many passes in a season.

And Bartek was doing it against the world's best.

That draw is a Baansport and myself exclusive LOL.

I did suggest last year that they could have an extra incentive on Friday’s meeting by the finishing positions determining the draw pick for Saturday.

In their wisdom they choose the ballot route.

I would like to see Gate picks awarded by finishing position in previous GP.Stop practice and keep the track tip top for the GP.However that might be too simple for FIM/SGP Organisers

Bartosz is the reason they have to have this stupid points scoring system. It would be a one horse race over a season otherwise. Amazing bike skills he can make passes that others can only dream of.

I don’t see the problem with it, there was no cheers when he crashed, maybe some oooh’s and gasps but absolutely no cheers.
But he was up and walking back to pits and when was excluded there was lot of cheers. Probably multi reasons, UK fans supporting Kurtz/Holder/Fricke. Some people liking to see something different from BZ dominating, also a lot of noisy Poles in crowd and a reaction to them.

How has the rain been overnight in Manchester, it was bucketing down between Crewe & Stoke on the way home last night.

Zmarzlik is a pleasure to watch, it would just be nice to see someone else with the World Title.  Zmarzlik hasn't actually won a GP since NSS round 2 last year.  8 GP's without a win.

I'm 10,000 miles from Manchester and like you all no doubt, am hoping that a good racing surface can prevail over the weather.  Alexa reckons its raining there now, but the hourly forecast I saw is for chances of rain to reduce from currently 90% to 50-60% rest of day and suggest maybe light showers throughout the day clearing around meeting start time.  Not that I'd wager the family jewels on a weather forecast, but here's hoping we get to race on a reasonable surface.

Well, I’m in the centre of Manchester less than 3 miles from the stadium. Minimal rain forecast and track should be entirely raceable. This is a purpose built track with drainage based on Manchester weather so I doubt a few spots will cause any problems. Even last night’s heavy shower only proved insurmountable for one rider….

There was a nut job stood near me who thought all of his Christmases had arrived at once when BZ tried the impossible and came off... he went absolutely mental effing and jeffing for a good few minutes and seemed to be quite enjoying his own rage 😂

For me to print that out would be meaningless.....the helmet colours are too deep....especially the blue and red. Even with a black ballpoint it is difficult to see the points. Just before this years GP1 Racer & Royals kindly put up a blank from last year, colours not as dark. I just printed 10 meetings back to back, 5 sheets, fill in the riders names, and happy using them.

I you had paid yesterday for a month, £30.99, and cancelled it before the end of those 30 days, you would see GP3 and GP4 at BVue, and GP5 at Wroclaw. That works out at £10.33 per meeting......and you prefer to watch Nordic Darts !!!

Day 2 (Quarters to Final) of Nordic Darts tonight, should be out of the top draw & it's free

Very enjoyable GP again from the NSS with plenty of good racing and a few exceptional ones.

Our seats remained empty in the grandstand as we stayed in the Craven suit for the whole meeting.

Kasper (as all riders are) was committed to a last bend manoeuvre for position and Madsen was trying to pull it back and gain an inside advantage on the wide riding Max. It was just speedway and this can often happen though thankfully not too often.

If the crowd seemed flat it is probably due to the fact that the vast majority there were Aces fans still feeling the effects of Dans injury. With such a small capacity at the NSS I’d say 50+ were locals. With so few of the competitors lining up for UK clubs it’s not surprising that other fans don’t make the trip.

Everything seemed to go smoothly yesterday and I hope the fan experience (from a NSS responsibility) was a good one. Mark seemed happy but exhausted when we chatted.

Looking forward to the same today and with an improved forecast I’m anticipating another memorable occasion.

I’ll be sinking a few during and after the meeting and look forward to mingling later on chatting all things speedway.

Think Zmarzlik will be a tiger on the prowl tonight after his mistake in the Final last night.

Dark horse for me is Jepsen Jensen who seemed to get his bike working very well towards the end of the meeting.
