Lodz GP round 7 Saturday 1st August

Brilliant to watch tonight..

Speedway, with consequence, jeapordy and a decent prize fund can actually get some decent crowds.

Who knew?...

Witchcraft...:D

That was entertaining and a perfect example of how good the racing can be and it was good to hear the national anthem at long last. Just a pity that the media are not interested in the UK. Now it is a three horse race let’s keep fingers crossed for Robert next week. I hope he does not sit back and just accept his qualification for 2027 when he is so close to upsetting the odds. Thanks to all the riders tonight who made it such a good meeting.

Even though he’s a Norfolk munchkin, you can’t deny that he is right up there now on the world stage

Someone gave him a nudge......Freddie's out, Dans out, Jacks out........only BZ and Brady left.......you got probably a never to be repeated opportunity.....GRAB IT

Great meeting, enjoyed it, track was good.

Congrats to Lambert, I'm not a fan but a deserved win on the wave of recent excellent form.

Missed opportunity by Brady, with a rare meeting in which BZ didn't get setup right.  Thought Fricke was stiff and deserved a better outcome, he needs to keep finding form to lock in a top 7 or he wont be there next year.

In some ways the weather conditions made this a better meeting.  Slick tracks tend to produce more predictable outcomes.  Here it was who adapted to the conditions prevailed.

Cumulative

Kurtz 109
Zmarzlik 109

So on what grounds has Kurtz overtaken Zmarzlik?  1 GP win each.  Podiums is Zmarzlik 5, Kurtz 4.  Both have missed the final once.  Kurtz has 2 seconds & 1 third to Zmarzlik's 4 3rds.

Well I was so glad I was there for that, my third British GP win.  1 for Lambert, 1 for Bewley & 1 for Harris.  Woffinden has won than them combined and I've never seen one.  Woryna is a loon, that move that took Kubera off was ridiculous.

I think you've answered your own question there!

So you'd give him wildcard instead of Bewley, Holder or Lindgren?

No.  I think they have messed up dropping the challenge result picks down when the top few will qualify automatically anyway.  I'd much rather have Kvech than Jakobsen.  It's a shame Holder being injured and Tungate qualifying will mean no Fricke or Doyle.  Bur I also wonder if Lindgren & Doyle will call it a day at the end of the year.

7 GPs and 7 winners.

People will realise next year that we are blessed this year to actually have the best riders of this generation all in the Grand Prix (apart from Nazar) but minus the Russians.

Anybody can turn up and win this year, I would have happily seen this line up (official line up) go again next season.

Decent meeting... Woryna is box office, tough as old nails and doesn't give an inch, he certainly brightens the GP series up.

Kurtz will look back on that GP and will admit it was his to lose, he had the plum draw but was out ridden by Lambert.

BZ looked way down on speed but is still joint leader in the series, Lambert is lurking in the shadows.

Good summary. Healthy to now have a three horse race instead of a two horse race. Makes the final few Gp’s even more interesting. Really looking forward to next weekend even more now after that last night.

On Woryna, for all the criticism of his hard riding, his heats are simply unmissable. You ain’t getting up to make a cup of tea while he’s out on track!

100% agree, just imagine if there were sixteen riders in the series just like him! There will be those who love the gaters but give me Woryna any day of the week, pure box office.

Feels like all of the GP's this year have actually been quite entertaining. Maybe that's the Woryna affect, he's an absolute nutter but you can't deny he makes things a lot more interesting!

Great night for Lambert, not just the win but Zmarzlik dropping points has opened up that title race further. You'd think he would need to win at least two of the last three rounds to stand a chance but on current form he's certainly capable of that.

A fit Bewley, Holder and Lindgren throughout could have really made this season something special.

With Woryna there is definitely a middle ground, none of us like gaters and and he's worth ten Kuberas for example who bores me to tears, but at times he's reckless and dangerous and I dont want to be watching him wondering who he is going to have off next. He has a responsibility to the other riders to be safe and a little less unhinged. That said he rides lines that others dont and is a great watch when he's not out of control.
