Well that’s decided it for me, R/R a guest and a showery forecast means the chances of getting VFM for my twenty quid are a lot smaller. Cynical me also wonders why this was announced the day after tickets went on sale......

This Sunday 16 May, ITV4 is showing the MotoGP/2/3 live from the French GP. Can I encourage anyone who has an interest in MotoGP/2/3 to tune in to ITV4 (not channel 4, but ITV4). It seems like BTSport (who have the contract to show all MotoGP/2/3 sessions from Friday-Sunday at all planned 2021 meetings, is going to sell on its rights and rumour has it ITV4 is one of the contenders to take it on. ITV4 is a free to view channel, so I encourage as many as possible to view this Sunday, 16 May, as it appears this could be a market tester, and if its a success ITV4 may have the confidence advertisers would invest in future showings on the basis lots of viewers to see their adverts. I subscribe to BTSport, but will be supporting ITV4 this Sunday, on the basis I dont want MotoGP to go to a pay as you view channel. ITV4 are also showing this Sunday British Superbikes history, a programme with racing from 500cc world championship with Barry Sheene, Chili, and other stars from the past, British Touring Cars and other motoring sports events. Sounds like they wanting to generate interest, so lets support them. Sunday 16 May

Dan Bewley & Brady Kurtz were able to travel from Poland for a practise so should be no problem with meetings.

Klindt out and replaced by Jake Allen permanently but Allen not available for this fixture. Jordan Stewart also missing. So it’s R/R for Klindt, and a guest yet to be named for Stewart. Great start!

Just ordered tickets, I'll probably regret battling the chuffing M6 on a Bank Holiday Monday but the lure of my first live sport in over a year was too much! Couldn't wait for the Brummies opening fixture 10 days later. So it will no doubt rain, after all it's Manchester and a Bank Holiday Monday. Just looked at the septets, god good the Panthers average age must be nearly as old as I am. Let's hope Bewley has no issues getting back from Wroclaw's visit to FZG the day before. Any other riders due to ride in Poland the day before?

Excellent and I am sure the club shop on a Saturday night will prove popular with a new range of merchandise, but just think how much more business the club could have done from the one day opening last December to now, especially with just a couple of weeks to the start of the season.

To be fair state pension age is now upto 68 for many and no lower than 65 for any If someone has been able to retire at 60 then they can afford full price......

No. We are nothing like Poole, never have been and never will be.

More a case of thanking Covid because make no mistake this would have happened but for the lack of a season's racing. Management were entrenched and blinkered so fortunately they got breathing space and someone more empathetic came on board. Irrespective though, the right decision was made so credit where it's due as you say. Hopefully your wife will have enough good days to allow you both to attend.

I watch most of it on FFWD the next day, the beauty of Speedway is you're most unlikely to hear the result before you watch it especially Polish Speedway lol. It's not been VFM so far this season with around 50% of the matches so far being postponed and others being shown on FreeSports. I can't see myself returning next year, as long as life returns to something like normality, but in the mean time I'm happy to pay a tenner a month for some Speedway

Maybe Goddens have found the perfect Central Park Engine. Quick to warm up, great on concrete for the first 3 rides, drives off an adverse camber and then great on over-watered blue tarmac and cuts out automatically after 2 hours
