  1. Given his age and experience I fail to see why there can be any criticism of Harrison this season. He is a class act for his age.

  2. Between Max & Freddy ,they have score 32 , paid 38 in their last 4 matches in 7 days (2 home 2 away)

  3. Were Glasgow just really good or were scunny that bad ?me personally I think the Glasgow riders are just getting the track set up right after a few weeks consistent racing and our reserves together are scoring a lot more than their average, Villads is scoring nearly double his average max last night and the rest are scoring over there ave too ,We seem to have a great team sprit in the pits this year just need to keep this up

  4. Really good to see young max Perry starting to show some good form. Well done to Glasgow for sticking with him and not dumping him like Poole did last year

  5. Both, if I bore you that much, just mute me. If I replied to the post saying "I don't agree with you" without giving any context / reasoning, what would be the point of that? So I pointed out his away average has actually gone up. Then @Woke23 sent a sensible reply with his reasons for his comments. Both of us gave an opinion, it would be boring if everyone agreed all the time, there was no insults or name calling, I'd say that's what the forum is for. Obviously I like stats, if others don't that's fine too. But I don't see why I should stop using them.

  6. Final score doesn’t do rybnik justice and was a pretty good match to watch

  7. Let’s hope it’s a foul one, we could do with some entertainment

  8. How do you know what he needs? Bet you’ve never spoken to the kid and you’re on the internet calling him cocky and saying he thinks he’s a superstar because he’s taken a couple of guest bookings. Strange strange behaviour.

  9. Just caught up with this and what a great advert for grass roots British Speedway! 13 committed lads, great racing, a close scoreline for the aggregate bonus point, incident and controversy. The Plymouth track has taken some stick in the past but it was spot on tonight. Absolutely put the tripe served up in Latvia in the GP to shame in comparison. The commentator mentioned it, the word of the night was commitment and without wishing to labour the point, tonight's match showed that Plymouth and British Speedway does not need the likes of Nicolai Klindt. It's just a shame that the rules and the spineless SCB are letting this situation continue with Klindt treating Plymouth like a piece of dirt and a last resort pay day.

  10. Ahh... Now you've said it the third time I completely agree...

  11. Glasgow have no intention of dumping him, even if there was a better option, Max is not far away from getting regular points, he is keeping pace even if not in a scoring position

  12. Even when they do finish at the back (at least at home) they are right on the heels of 3rd and pushing until the flag, both are improving with every match which is great to see

  13. Sounds like Leicester's lux ran out... I'll get me coat....

  14. Yes but we need him to score some as Starke is not scoring many and Glasgow looking very strong and could easily beat us to top spot.

  15. Great to also see how many youngsters in attendance. The kids race was packed. the mascot entertaining the crowd and more importantly the riders interacting with the crowd. None of the above costs much but can certainly make the experience of race night so much better between races. well done Plymouth

  16. Wouldn't make an awful lot of difference i reckon. We weren't going to win league with Sedgy and Kerr, we probably won't with Morris and Etheridge but at least the promotion have tried something

  17. Give your head a wobble.... Without Kurtz this season would have been a write off already.... Possibly the GOAT has so far only managed three points more.... No one wins a world title without being a special talent... And that includes the likes of Szczakiel, Muller and Havelock, amongst others, who won one offs...

  18. He can stay where he is, as far as I'm concerned.

  21. Excellent stuff from Kurtz. New track for him, slow start, pressure of the LCQ and then last gate choice for the final when making the start was crucial. I thought he'd start to fall away slightly towards the end of the series but he's just getting better at the moment.

  22. Starting to look like a battle between Oxford and Redcar for the last spot. Could all come down to Wednesday's meeting between the two sides, would be a huge boost for the Cheetahs if they take all three points. 1. Glasgow 2. Poole 3. Edinburgh 4. Oxford 5. Redcar 6. Berwick 7. Plymouth 8. Workington 9. Scunthorpe

  23. Or getting your RS to pull out 'injured' so you can replace them with your GP reserve......

  24. even before the rain it was a borefest, even after the rain it was a borefest,,,,highlight of the meeting, the adverts Kurtz is riding well, Freddie has the biggest pair of balls going, BZ is the entertainer, the rest will have the odd GP here and there to raise the pulses. The tracks in general for the GP's are little more than a gaters paradise, boils my piss when we are six races in and we are told that the track will come good, over a quarter of the way through a meeting and its follow the leader, Then after any track preparation it goes back to gate and go.

  25. Just about every team manager uses R/R at 2 these days, don’t understand the consternation around this as in 3 of the heats the replacement is with theoretically the teams strongest rider and then in heat 8 you get to use said rider. It worked nearly perfectly for Oxford last night too as they got 2 x 5-1’s, 1 x 4-2 and would have had another if it wasn’t for Masters running out of fuel. Peter Schroek makes some strange and terrible decisions but putting R/R at two was absolutely the right thing to do and seems to be the consensus thing to do these days. I found it more odd he didn’t use Knudsen in Heat 12 and put Killeen in heat 15.

  26. Good to see you Neila especially as we took the bonus point lol. It was a good meeting takes 2 teams to make a good match good luck for the rest of the season

  27. Sounds like you have an itch to prove people wrong, I know what that is a trait of and it all matches up now, which is why people probably just ignore you. The reason I said what I did is because you can’t go on a single thread on this whole forum without you chirping up and doing the exact thing I mentioned. Or quite often it’s telling everyone what team changes the team manager should have made during a meeting. The mute button is good advice Captain Hindsight.

  29. Viewed the heat 15 footage of the tapes fiasco and i don't think any other club would get away with that . Definitely the refs fault for not stopping it but the start Marshall should know better to do what he did.

  30. Yes I am a hypocrite but when it comes to speedway it’s the one thing I want rules implemented

  31. Actually there was quite a detailed lighting plan for the King Power which resulted in none of the pitch floodlights being higher than the internal dimensions of the stadium. This reduced the volume of light pollution to an acceptable level thus conforming with laws applicable to the protection of wildlife including the local Bat population.

  32. I hope we get to race on a wet track tbh because we been lucky this season with the weather and you know once play offs come we will no doubt get a few wet tracks so be nice for them to experience a wet track this season before going into the play offs

  38. I thought the racing wasn't great at Riga last night and the stadium was not even full, even though the capacity there is not much. The racing wasn't great either. Worrying times for the SGP. The final result was good though and thanks to Brady Kurtz the world championship is still open with two rounds at Wroclaw and Vojens still to come.

  39. There is nothing to stop the opposing team using their second highest averaged rider at number 2 to counteract this, so nothing wrong with it imo

  45. Instead of speculation perhaps the authorities should canvas those riders who are prepared to commit to riding in the UK first and foremost and calculate how many riders are available to ride every week on a race night that suits a UK club, not Poland or any other European league fixture list. Reward those riders who are willing to make a go of it in the UK by guaranteeing x number of meetings based on the commitment to ride. On the basis of the foregoing, determine the make up of teams, be it five, six or seven riders per team. Then look at whether it works on one home and away or two home and away or a mix with 4TT plus league racing. Also have a Season long individual UK championship with rounds held at every track and a grand finale at say Bellevue one year then Glasgow the Poole etc, share it around. The idea is build for the future on what you know you have not the uncertainty that prevails today where it is a case of finger in the air and hope. True speedway followers will be happy with competitive racing week in week out, others who crave the worlds top riders will follow them through the many individual tournaments be it a GP or Euro championship or Poland where in the case of the latter money seems no object when it comes to enticing the top riders. Speedway UK cannot compete with any European racing partly because of Brexit but also it races on a night when riders can earn some pocket money here because no other league is daft enough to pick Monday as a race night and I suspect that most who ride in Poland etc do not keep the best equipment in the UK so you are probably not seeing the riders at their most competitive. Unfortunately all those on here who could make up a committee that could give some direction and work with the promoters to get the sport back to where it should be would be largely ignored yet they are the same people who week in week out put money into the clubs by crossing the threshold of the turnstiles and helping keep the sport going. A message to those in charge, engage with your punters.
