  1. Belle Vue fully deserved this championship for 2026. Strongest team by a margin. Nice to see them win at home in front of a full stadium! Fully expect that stadium full every week next year now that City fans will be looking for a new sport to follow 😂

  2. Being based in Marylebone I have to plan travel with care but Friday night at Belle Vue followed by Saturday at Redcar and a slow train journey home on Sunday seams the ideal way to end the season

  7. There's the issue in a nutshell." They" . Division, us and them, I'm alright jack .Poland have realised they need other nations to succeed. When will British speedway realise they need all leagues to flourish?

  11. We’ve done better than most, if not all this year. The Craven is always very well attended along with our first home team meeting. We’ve made good use of the bank holidays this season which has helped offset the effect of having two expensive FIM events in town. Add in our play off participation and we are looking at around 24k-26k attendance over the season. I don’t see any team massively over or under that figure and to scoff at someone else attendance is as ridiculous as it is pointless.

  12. It appears the SCB have conveniently amended the wording to the above rule to suit their statement. No further photo or video evidence has been stated to have been viewed or made available, and by amending the rule to the above wording the SCB admit they also couldn't distinguish whether or not Zach completely crossed the line with both wheels. The interview with Carrington in the speedway star is quite frank and I believe he made the correct decision with what was available to him at the time. The SCB have hung him out to dry.

  13. Doyle has just been announced at Vastervik for '27. Poland, Sweden and GB now he no longer has the GPs on his schedule?

  14. But it isn't a statement of fact. And that is the issue .. No "factual" evidence has been seen or published, therefore the SCB shouldn't have come out saying that the rules were breached as, clearly so far, there is zero evidence to prove that "fact"... The ref made his decision based on the (inconclusive) evidence that showed that Cook "could" have ridden the white line and not crossed it.. Using the evidence available to him, he made the only decision he could, and should have... The SCB statement is, apart from how poorly written it is, quite baffling, and subjective, so not factual, and leaves both Pooles' victory, and the ref hanging out to dry somewhat...

  18. That's the strange thing though isn't it? The amended wording of the rule just confirms the definition of its breach to be the only scenario that they can't prove beyond reasonable doubt with the evidence that we & the referee saw. All the previous arguments I've seen that sought to justify the SCB statement had been based on incorrect definitions of the rule, but now they have removed all ambiguity that might have gone some way to justify their decision. It's simply baffling!

  21. A perfect opportunity now the majority of the better level of riders will do Poland and Sweden and one other.. 14 matches as a minimum in Denmark v 20 and possibly doubling down over here..? Wednesday would be ideal..

  26. Honestly think Sheffield will struggle to get mid 30’s, can see Fricke nudging double digits the rest not scoring much to shout about as has been case in majority of away meetings this year

  27. I'd reckon Erik Riss and Craig Cook are the two best riders available for next season who won't be touched by any sensible promotion.....

  32. I think you're the one getting confused, not me. When you asked why I continued to argue, you were quoting my post to Gavan where I challenged his and dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's unsubstantiated opinion that the white line belonged to the infield but you go on about the SCB ruling. As others have pointed out though, the SCB statement may be a fact but it certainly lacks substance. Anyway, it would appear that I was correct about the white line. The SCB have amended the wording even though, in my opinion it was adequately defined previously as being on the track surface, which would make the inner side of the line the boundary and that is now confirmed.... No apologies necessary lads 😁 Having just received my Star this morning I see that it says "the white line is part of track, meaning a rider is still legally on the track as long as part of their rear tyre is in contact with the line - however small that contact may be" It doesn't state a source for this ruling but if it's from the SCB we can consider it FACT! 🙂. It seems that one is now put to bed too so there's nothing more to argue about now regarding the actual rules, is there?

  34. An update to the relevant rule has been issued by the SCB today: "Registration No. 134679 England VAT No. 238 5704 48 Registered Office: A.C.U. House Wood Street Rugby CV21 2YX E: info@scbgb.co.uk Amendment to Regulation 12.1.11 Date Issued: 15/10/2026 Regulation No: 12.1.11 Subject: Leaving the Track Addition to current wording of 12.1.11 A rider whose machine crosses the inner edge of the track marking with 2 wheels must be disqualified unless, in the opinion of the Referee, the action was taken in the interest of safety for other riders or the rider involved was forced off course by another rider"

  35. Last year at Ipswich it was a perfect storm, with the result from the away leg, and they not winning the title for decades.. If they had got hammered in the first leg then the crowd would have been nowhere near the same I would suggest, and they certainly haven't got anywhere near that figure this season off the back of their title win.. And Tai was a three time World Champion and is the only British rider to do it, hence many were there to pay their respects to someone who has delivered something unique in GB Speedway... For UK Speedway 3,000 is a very decent crowd and possibly double what a run of the mill domestic meeting would have... All of the above shows though, that there is still a very healthy amount of followers of the sport in the UK, they just need some engagement to watch the qualifiers throughout the season, as well as the play off finals... Over to the UK Promoters to sort out the reasons why they don't...

  37. 95% of speedways power is in the 2 heads, the head on the engine and the head on the riders shoulders, get those 2 heads right and you have a winner, the only real difference in tuning is head porting, cams and internal parts like valves everything else like crank cases etc are just stock parts

  38. Interesting watching Kurtz at Sheffield on Monday, heat 5 riding the dirt line and was at least quater of a lap infront yet his time was no faster than Carl stonehewer 26 years before and Zack cook’s win in heat 14 was the same time as Chris Morton 47 years ago, so the question is with all the money spent on tuning and engines, is it really worth it ?
