GeneralMelchett
Largely agree with Baldyman here - it’s not often I am surprised by some speedway news but this really is a big one! Didn’t see that coming at all.
therefused
shows the sorry state the sport is in in the country when eddie kennett is returning at the top level.
Roger Jacobs
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be. Even so, Kennett is hactually two weeks younger than Danny King. Can't imagine he will appear to be any worse than Hellström-Bängs in terms of on-track effort. He rode at Iwade for Kent Kings against Mildenhall on 10th May, beaten only by James Shane's in the final heat: Eagles: Edward Kennett 14(5), Ben Morley 12(5), Jack Kingston 11+1(5), Connor King 5+2(5), Alex Chadd 5+1(5), Nathan Hargrave 5(5). – 52 Fen Tigers: James Shanes 12(5), Ben Whalley 10(5), Sam Woods 7+1(5), Kenzie Cossey 6+1(5), Patryk Daniszewski 3(5), Max Broadhurst 0(5) – 38 I know this means nothing in terms of how Kennett might perform in the Prem, but at least it shows he's kept fit and is still interested in riding.

M.D
I watched Eddie at Kent last season and a few people said the same who watched him at some grass track.. Looked really good at the start of the meeting but then you could see him struggling with his arm. Hope that's recovered another year down the line and I'm really hoping he scores a good few points for Ippo.

therefused
I don’t understand why they didn’t just opt for Jenkins? Must be a better option than Kennet even with an iffy start to the season?

Other options from the Champ would've been Jake Allen, Michael Palm Toft, Mitchell McDiarmid, Jonatan Grahn, Kevin Juul Pedersen or Connor Mountain? IMO they just want to get through the season and try and keep their fan base with a view to building a more competitive team next year . Mitch would have been a great signing to show intent for the future of speedway and not the past! IMO we have far too many old riders now which is only worsening the sport by not giving chances to the younger generation, you want to bring young people to Foxhall but don’t give them anyone who they could relate to? As much as I hate Falubaz, Mitch is performing well, even when Madsen does push him off!
