No he will not for the same reason we did not bring back Erik Riss. His average is almost the same as Riss and we did not bring him back because his average is to high to fit into the team. Management have said they will not release (sack) any riders to fit in the last rider. Newcastle say that they have released Vissing because of the problems he will have with Covid travel restrictions flying in and out of Europe. Think there may be many clubs in the same position before the start of the season with the Covid rates in Europe at the moment.

Yes that will probably be a problem for those who want to watch on a Sunday. I recall having that problem in the past with Eurosport and wanting to watch minority sports so no doubt the same will happen there with speedway this season. Personally as long as they’re shown, even delayed, I’ll just watch them on Premier Player online when it is convenient for me. It’s for this reason that it’s annoying that they aren’t showing the Friday matches. But some are better than none.

If riders can ride for 2 teams and guest for every team can't see the difference back room staff working for 2 teams. Just highlights the farce of the sports rules

Can’t see that it really matters if he’s working for both to be honest, maybe it’s just me. Quite likely there is little geographical overlap anyway. More concerned about actually getting on track with spectators, should be a given with such low numbers of cases and deaths being declared now but with the way it’s all been handled who knows

Absolutely that is a factor! Especially as there is so much filler in speedway and sometimes complicated rules, it does make it more enjoyable when I can understand the commentary and tbf I like Dave Goddard much better than the shouty twins

Yep you’re right in that it’s ‘each to their own’ as everybody will have different expectations and different circumstances. For me, I find it very difficult watching any form of sport back if it’s not live whether that be football, speedway or whatever - especially nowadays when it’s hard to almost avoid the results. I like to try and watch every match though and especially with the offers from Premier not being forthcoming like last year and half the matches being coveted, I’ve chose not to take up that option this year. Everybody else can make their own minds up though.

That is admirable, but not all the meetings equals around 50% of them and from past performance from them it won`t be long before their Speedway subscribers who want to watch " live" find a Sunday match off the schedule because of something else they are showing instead.

I will aswell, much prefer my commentary in English and also if I get 3 live meetings a week for £11 a month I am happy with that.

Interesting to see that theatres and churches have received the latest half billion payout from culture protection fund and they have by all reports Ive seen been stated as grants rather than loans Locally to me for example The Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe appears to have received over half a million in grants in the past 12 months Don't get me wrong The Spa is a great and popular facility but its a struggle to see why it is treated so differently to the speedway Ely cathedral has received £112m in grants. Isnt the Church of England one of the richest institutions in the world??

And also mean cost savings I would think by having one man doing two jobs.. I am sure there will be some crossover of contacts that will benefit both clubs at certain parts of the season..

When they get the right sort of agreement to run from the Stadium people I guess?! I hear a whisper there is an ongoing negotiation over whether the glass grandstand/restaurant/bars/loos will open and if so who will operate them and what effect that may have on the rental costs to the Pirates Promotion?! I haven't seen or heard of any other sports/activities that Stadia UK have attracted to replace greyhounds!! Only a whisper but..............................

Chris Golding used to drive him to Isle of Wight and King's Lynn too.

Definitely not subscribing - too expensive and not committed to showing live speedway over other sports they’d rather show friendly pre season live football as they have in the past - which then mean I watch on line so might as well watch every meeting on line .

I'd looked for it recently, and couldn't find it. Pity, that was a valuable resource...

I basically said the same on the club’s Facebook page guess what ? They deleted my post . Says it all to me

if he's working for Buster then it will just allow him to cover a larger area for both clubs

I've seen wider parking spaces for women in Germany. Maybe they should have them for pensioners too.

Tai Woffinden would have been better.. Although given the way the rules over the years have got changed and adapted to suit any scenario, often at a moments notice, it may not have even registered as ridiculous... We would have just assumed it would have fallen under the "In the interests of Speedway" 'rule'...

Or they may have decided to hike their prices... who knows?

Some really good shouts on here and I'd just like to add Tony Davey. Only started riding late 1970, had a handful of matches at the tail end of the season to average 3.38. On to 1971, he achieved in his first six matches scores of 15-5 (away), 15-5 (a) + track record, 12-4 (h) + T/R, paid 14-5(a), 15-5 (h) 9-4 (h) plus a fall. Ended the season on 9.93, with 9 full and three paid max, finishing 7th in the overall averages. What could have been but for the terrible hand injury the following year....

...and then achieved an average of 9 plus in his debut year in Division One and qualified for that year's World Final.

John Louis averaged 8.74 in his debut year, then up to 11.31 in his second.

I personally think Craig Cook will come back in the best shape he has ever been and hungry for success and will be #1 with a bit to spare
