Some shocking posts about Tate and using him to have a weak pop at the club as a whole lacks class. This lad was showing bags of promise before his awful crash, a crash that saw his bike dismantled whilst he was still impaled on it. There’s a few posters on here who delight in sticking the knife in with comments like “sick note” and “turd” for riders still working through the after effects for racing injuries. It’s a special kind of scum that gets their kicks that way.10 points

this clown could of been in a wheel chair, but he is still helping to prop up British speedway.7 points

Great interview with Ipswich’s new owner. You can tell he’s of the mentality to make the necessary changes to save British speedway. Let him and the Facenna’s run the BSPL. We’ll be prime time next season.5 points

Sacrifice entertainment for silverware , win at all costs and all that ? Fair enough, each to their own, but when fan numbers drop you'll have the answer to why already. For Berwicks 1st meeting of the season and fair weather the crowd was less than great, I'd be more concerned about how to get more fans back rather than how to bore off your current remaining fans.4 points

Yeah but we can’t sell out 10,000, Belle Vue can’t get half full 3,500 or whatever the mini stadium holds without a temp stand 😂 Ipswich are the only club who actually gets a good crowd.3 points

well i went down on my motor bike only takes me 15 mins rode into south stand car park saw a 30mtr que. thought must be a sell out so rode back home.3 points

Good question! There doesn't seem to be another Cooper Rushen on the horizon so I guess it's "stick" rather than "twist". Freddy had a whole season at Berwick in 2024 as there was no answer then either. Really 2026 is a make or break year for him and Sam Hagon too. As there are no obvious replacements, by implication the same is true for Tigers season. Interesting times!3 points

It will be up to Connor/his family to decide if and when anything is released not the club. The club asking people to be patient and not speculate seems very reasonable to me.3 points

Laurence Rogers has asked fans not to speculate and an update will be provided on Connor Coles once there is one to be released.3 points

Oh yes, Berwick are renowned for silverware and winning at all cost, with poor crowds. Haven't made a semi final or the play offs for 12 years for crying out loud. I’d argue there was more there on Saturday than what was at Ashfield, albeit down to Glasgows great away following, but if you think that crowd was bad, for a small town like Berwick, you’re very badly mistaken. Berwick Rangers attendance which I believe includes all tickets given out, and season tickets, not just people through the gate, recorded an attendance of 545 in the afternoon, and having walked through the car park, I can say there was easily 3x as many cars for the speedway, possibly 4x. The track was poor, and it may of been deliberately like you suggest, but we aren’t allowed access to it from around 1pm-5.30pm, and it was forecast to and did rain from 11-12, thankfully the rain didn’t amount to much and we were good to go, but if it had been prepared differently, and more rain arrived, we could have been in bother.3 points

Tricky one to call this due to it being our last fixture before the German GP. Both Brady & Dan (and no doubt Norick) won’t trouble to scores too much as they will be concentrating of their forthcoming world championship bid. I’ll go for a narrow witches victory sealed in a heat fifteen advantage. Above post produced by AI when asking for a prediction using BSF as source material.3 points

Pretty decent effort to be fair from Lidsey beating Fricke x3 on his home track. Jaimon Lidsey - 3, 1, 1, 3, 1', 3, 3 = 15+12 points

You’re taking the pi$$ here surely. Ipswich get double the crowd Belle Vue get and that’s being generous.2 points

I’m afraid I don’t have confidence in Jack he is inconsistent from race to race.He been riding 10 years without really stepping up at Championship level.Wish him well though.(will be happy to be proved wrong).2 points

Kerr's never ridden for Belle Vue, he's also been on the injury list more than off it (bar last year). Zischke came in for Mountain (4.36 in the prem) and at the time was averaging 2 points higher than him in the Championship in what was his first season over here so a change that on paper could improve their side. Unfortunately he only lasted 1 meeting before his bad crash and Belle Vue unlike most teams, have stayed loyal believing he will come good again. What British rider would come in on a 3 that would score more this season around Belle Vue?2 points

Is Bangs expensive have a feeling it was mentioned in the past he had learned from Picko when it came to charging just thinking Ippo coming in late but with a bit of money behind him might have been the only team to meet his demands.2 points

Why they don’t go back to just calling it the European cup I’ll never know. Calling it the Champions League when a club finishing 5th enters it is daft.2 points

At the end of the day we only need a reserve that doesn't mean the best you can hope for in a heat is 3-32 points

Have to disagree regarding crowd level. Looked very good ,be surprised if there are any bigger crowds during the season.Maybe if we are in the running for Silverware there might be.Personally thought it was an entertaining meeting,I’ve seen a lot worse.2 points

I'm still waiting for a reply from them as to why they docked Workington league points last year... as soon as I get that I'll follow it up with this 😂2 points

A shame he was the only rider who could be arsed to come round and acknowledge the crowd though... compare that with the BSN meeting at Worky yesterday where it was noticeable that after the majority of races the winner went round to accept the applause of the crowd, both home and away riders... it costs nothing2 points

As a lifelong Brummmies fan, I got so disillusioned with the sport that I walked away from it mid season 2024 and haven’t been to a meeting since. there are many similarities with the start Northampton have had to this season , joining the league at the last moment and all the ensuing problems that brings, with the last few seasons at Birmingham. I have thus learned not to have any great hopes or expectations of the upcoming season . I got used to under strength teams snd often, deeply frustrating snd disappointing team performances. I am going to give Northampton a go as they are anew team and thus, I do not have to support any team that I have been “against”, for year after year . all I ask of my new team this season is that all riders and management give it 100% at all times and adopt a positive attitude to a difficult season with a view to being able to start next season on a more even playing field with the other teams where team building is concerned. Can I wish everyone connected with Northampton an injury free season and, one with as few problems both on and off the track as possible. To me, a success season will be one where it hasn’t been embarrassing to admit to being a Northampton fan and more importantly, one where the club grows snd there is not in any doubt about them running again next season2 points

Agreed, an excellent performance and in with a shout for the bonus point. I feel with the league weaker in general, the outcome is not as cut and dried as some would believe.1 point

Pointless excuses. Everywhere on the country you can say people could spend the money elsewhere. It’s simple that Manchester just doesn’t have good speedway support. If you like something you make the time or money to go. If people prioritise other sports then it’s exactly what I said, poor support.1 point

Too many counter attractions and piss poorly publicised to even try and get people there... Loads of pro football clubs in Grt Manchester, and several non League ones that themselves can get big four figure crowds.. Then add professional Rugby League and Union, Cricket, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Women's pro football, and even Netball, and getting a crowd on a Monday will be a challenge .. Plus, six teams in a league where winning has little reward, is hardly worth being interested in...1 point

Ipswich fans were saying that Zack Cook was much better at Foxhall than his brother who he replaced for the Aces at the time.1 point

I can see a fairly comfortable home win. 54-36 Ipswich missing Doyle and Sayfutdinov is a hugely different team. Brennan, Musielak, King and Lawson can all perform OK at the N.S.S., but they will all need to be on form togerher. Hellstrom-Bangs could be a big scorer at reserve. He really wanted to be riding for Belle Vue ahead of any other British club, so tonight is his chance to show them they were wrong when he was begging them for a team place.1 point

In spring and autumn, Berwickers go to the main stand (it was very full on Saturday) and in the warmer months tend to stand out in the sun. A trend that's been the case for over 50 years.1 point

Read somewhere that the transponders called the result and ref wanted a 2nd opinion, but also read a few times in the past, that the transponders don't always work 🤔 apparently Godfrey organised a supplier for them so that explains a lot 😜1 point

Along with learning UK tracks ,the lad is adjusting to also being over here on his own at a young age. Considering 1st race was Armadale, second was a wet Ashfield and third an extremely slick gate and go Shieldield he has still managed to score points, but time will tell if he can add to those points each meeting as he settles both on and off track.1 point

Who the hell does this fella think he is? Transparency, and Accountability, indeed.... He will be seeking Credibility and Integrity next.... Then, before you know it, he will be after meetings being ran with Jeopardy and Consequences, which could even end up givng the competitions Prestige and some larger financial backing... A slippery slope, this.....1 point

Will be interesting to see if Rob goes with B Cook at no. 2 again. It was obviously used to get 5-1’s with Max (2/3 success rate) and for him to comfortably win heat 8 (scored 0) but realistically should go with Castagna at 2 at home. The same as Thursday this meeting depends a lot on Musielak. He could score 15 but at the same time could score 5. As a Lynn fan I’m hoping for and predicting the latter. Going for a Lynn win and optimistic that they can sneak the aggregate point. 51-39. King’s Lynn Stars 1. Max Fricke - 14(5) 2. Paco Castagna - 5(4) 3. Chris Harris - 8 (4) 4. Ben Cook - 9 (4) 5. Jan Kvech - 10 (5) 6. Cooper Rushen - 3 (4) 7. Jody Scott - 2 (4) Total - 51 Ipswich Witches 1. Tom Brennan - 7 (5) 2. Scott Nicholls - 3 (4) 3. Tobiasz Musielak - 5 (4) 4. Danny King - 6 (4) 5. Richard Lawson - 9 (5) 6. Philip Hellstrom-Bangs - 4 (4) 7. Jason Edwards - 5 (4) Total - 391 point
