i prefer to just go and enjoy the racing which is absolutely fantastic at Glasgow. If we win something then its a bonus but the whole package at Glasgow entertainment and viewing wise is first class , there are some minor irritants that others have highlighted but nothing to tarnish the standard of the racing.10 points

Erm...there fact that there are kids at these meetings that see riders as role models? Hardly setting a great example. Throw the book at both of them instead of trying to glorify this sickening behaviour8 points

Not sure if Cami moaned but the kids running in the kids race did say it was a bit on the slick side and were concerned about a couple off ruts on the second bend4 points

The worst thing about this sh*t show is having to listen to Jason Harrold and James Wright filling the gaps with painful small talk.4 points

I've managed to have a shower, do my ironing, cut the lawn and made a meal during all the delays.4 points

The Plymouth track staff aren't going to win any prizes for air bag replacement! Pretty sure Kerr touched the tapes in heat 3 KJP looks a class act on and off the track Got to question Leon Flint missing bread and butter Glasgow matches chasing qualification for a competition he has almost zero chance of qualifying for and if by some miracle he did would probably miss a load more matches 🤷♂️ Klima a surprise packet especially on such a tight technical track @lewy got some good exposure tonight... money well spent 😂3 points

I aint gotta clue tbf Iain, it would nice if someone from BSN actually explained what was happening rather then being vague and saying the update in May should work on most major tv manufacturers3 points

Good going that I’ve managed a 10,000 piece jigsaw and took the dog out for 3 walks.2 points

Really feel for the promotion here - big crowd, loads of kids, nice weather. Then bad luck with air fence delays, which will likely put a lot off from coming again. I have seen bag replacement done a lot quicker than they’re doing here though.2 points

I’ve come out of the updates, fed up keep refreshing the page then nothing. So decided to leave updates and come on the forum instead.2 points

delay for air fence then have a race then decide to have another break for a track grade and then another delay for another air fence repair, it’s a tough watch2 points

Fingers crossed Battye is ok. On a positive note well done to the club for getting the speaker situation sorted.2 points

Not a lot out there that would make a difference, no point changing like for like at the moment. Not too say it won’t happen at some point.2 points

If I had known BSN were going to change their set ups I wouldn't have purchased a season pass. I've never done any of this fancy stuff like mirroring etc its above my head. I think it's not right what they have done.2 points

Next time get Woffy along as Picko and Howarth square up I can hear it now Woffy shouting to the crowd "give me an F, give me a U" you know the rest lol.2 points

This is the same killjoy who doesn't want Coventry to return, gloats over Swindon problems. Did not want to believe that Oxford, Buxton and Northampton would materialise. Has not had a good word to say about the sport in general. Hardly what I would call a Speedway fan, more like a Clarke Osbourne sycophant.2 points

Eastbourne did a tremendous job of helping Tom from raw junior to last pick RS and clubs like that are sadly missed. Seeing him rise from last pick RS to FIM gold winner then occupying the 2nd heatleader spot at Birmingham after we released him was marvellous. I’m proud of all The Aces number 1 alumni and look forward to their visits to the NSS.2 points

But Steve, he didn't even get a full max at home to Berwick. Relied on a paid one. Dreadful. He should probably retire and let the young guns like Scott Nicholls have a go.2 points

Yeah, he only scored 10 from 4 rides tonight and had an "EF/R" in his last ride....... !!2 points

Every single non neutral on here who has a team to support despite what they’ll try and tell us. I take your point on the first issue though and I actually agree with you. I can only speak for myself here, but for me there’s definitely been something missing in these opening meetings. That star quality is missing. I always looked forward to the opening heat because Emil or Doyle were in it, same for every other heat they were in. That is now missing and the fact (with all due respect to him) Musielak is now the highlight and the races I now most look forward to speaks volumes from my perspective. As does the fact I plumped for a season ticket again this year, but still couldn’t be bothered to make the trip across town to go so paid another 15 quid to watch it at home instead! I regret now getting one but if it’s a similar style of line up next year I certainly won’t be getting another and will watch the odd stream instead.2 points

Disgraceful behaviour.... My 22 year old lad has just watched this and now needs therapy and counselling.... They should be banned for a decade st least.... Good, hard racing, "just enough room" left from Howarth which is fair enough... A bit more of this and the sport could be interesting again....2 points

Never been a fan of this toy track, far too narrow, zero passing and tonight probably going to take over 3 hours to run 15 races. As Gordon Ramsey would say “Sh*t at its best”1 point

Don't forget Redcar have better reserves than Glasgow. Although I expect Loftus will slowly improve throughout the season.1 point

Kids are more interested in WWE, UFC, boxing, judo, karate and the like. But yeh, you’re right we don’t want them seeing such things at a speedway meeting.1 point

Sadly, these kind of meetings show how little the competitions mean in the eyes of the promoters... Why run such meetings knowing FIM meetings are taking place? By definition the riders missing will be the "better ones" too.... If an independent body existed then this meeting wouldn't have happened or RR would have been the only facility... If the riders qualify then there will be even more clashes .. The UK has to stop "making up Speedway" as it does it no favours... There will be, I am sure, promoters out there wondering again how the local ice hockey team can get double their crowds.. And a if a track needs to bring in an overseas rider due to not having enough UK riders of the required level, then that is squarely down to their lack of focus on UK rider development over the past few decades... The vicious circle will continue unless UK rider development becomes the No1 priority for tier two in particular.... You need fans to take the sport seriously if you want it to be successful... I presume those who run it as a hobby don't feel the need to run it that way...1 point

If Plymouth didn't sign him they would have still got a facility for tobias thomsen so no idea why it doesn't sit right with you makes no sense.1 point

We received an email regarding an uplift in the cost of our licence which we queried and were told it was as the emailed stated for insurance purposes the uplift was duly paid. previously he had ridden on a pounds for points contract which included insurance no visible deductions were made from his wage the personal cover was assumed to be in the contract but we felt this had been transferred to the ACU with the uplift on the cost of licence dont know about previous coverage as we never claimed and the coverage taken covers his losses as a scaffolder not as a speedway rider as scaffolding is his primary source of income . Speedway is a paid hobby at his level covering its cost with the aid of our wonderful sponsors. i don't mind telling people what I know from our point of view but everyone has different circumstances and our experience could be a different one too others1 point
